I have been working for this same company almost three years. Basically, imagine a large warehouse and at one end you go through a door and there is a room filled with cubicles... I work in there. When I first started I would work the late shift and by the time I would leave for the night, I would be alone and the whole warehouse would be pitch black. Obviously this kind of setup makes for getting spooked so when I started feeling uneasy, I brushed it off. When I constantly felt like I was being watched, I brushed it off. When the hair on my neck and arms were standing on end, I brushed it off. Before long I was constantly hearing strange noises. It started with bangings that I assumed was the building settling but soon I would continually hear what sounded like someone about to open the door to the room I was in, I would look, but no one would ever come in and the building was empty.
I don't like to jump to conclusions and say "oh it's a ghost!!!!1" so I kept telling myself that the noises were a product of a large building and that my feelings of uneasiness were a product of me being alone at night in a huge dark warehouse but soon the noises were far to loud and unexplainable to keep brushing off. I started asking coworkers and long story short, just about everyone here who has had to work the late shift has had very similar experiences. Noises that sound like stuff being slammed around, the sound of the door beginning to open but never does, feelings of being watched, and just a general feeling of uneasiness are most common. If these were the only reports, I would think nothing of it and not consider it paranormal but these are not the only reports.
One time I was working late and got completely spooked because I saw someone standing in front of me but when I looked up they were gone. It scared the hell out of me. I was actually on the phone with a customer at the time and literally almost screamed into the phone lol. About a year ago, two guys were closing together and both of them witnessed a black shadow figure run across the room in front of them. They saw it at the same time and the fact that there were two witnessess adds some merit to the report. The best story I think happened just last week and once again it involves two witnesses. They both started hearing a whistling coming from the pitch black warehouse so they walked out and started listening. They said they thought it was a machine or something left on because it was a constant soft whistling. After a few minutes it got louder and they said it sounded exactly like someone was standing back in the darkness whistling a tune except no one was there. They checked and confirmed that the building was empty. They also heard footsteps and the next day our boss claimed that they had left a ton of lights on the night before (we turn them off on our way out) but the guy that closed insists that he turned them off. I believe him. There is no way he would forget ALL the lights.
I havn't worked late in over a year (got promoted to the day shift) but as luck would have it I had to close last night! I brought my digital recorder hoping to catch the whistling. I waited until it was dark and everyone else had left and went into the warehouse for a very short investigation. Not to much to report but at one point I made a loud whistle and as soon as I did there was a loud unexplainable crash from somewhere off in the warehouse. Probably coincidence but very creepy anyways. Also, on digital audio you can hear a soft thud but I don't know what it was from considering I was standing still and was the only one there. Also, at one point I was taking a few pictures and I once again let out a loud whistle and two seconds later my camera turned off by itself (caught this on digital audio as well). The batteries were full so I can't really explain it. Once again, could be coincidence but very odd timing anyways.
This doesn't hold a candle to the haunted Pool Hall I use to work at (http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77517&st=15) but there are defiently to many stories to simply explain away now. Something is going on.
