Today I went to Wallmart to get some animal feed.
I happened to cut through the aisle where they had under things for little girls.
I saw a whole wall section of teeny tiny heavily padded bras and it stopped me in my tracts.
I checked the labels that had pictures of little four and five year old girls with curvy chest in sexy poses with Miss America big hair and make-up on, with the saying "Because Little Girls Need to Look Good Too."
WTF people? How long has this been going on?
Did this start after that Jean Benet girl got murdered or what?

I am totally shocked and it really is hard to shock me, without any past history given, take my word on it.
Why do parents want their daughters to attract pedophiles?
What are they getting out of this?

I did a search and this is about all I found, and it was for the UK's girls ages 6 through 7.

The problem is the heavily padded bra's. Number one let's let six year old girls look busty. Number two I dont know if that would be so great for all the peodophiles out there. They may look too mature. Little girls need to look good too!! I really hate violence, but I think I would put my boot up these "creeples" asses.

I hope it dies out quickly in that case.
Scary stuff for sure.

Good lord.
I feel like I fell asleep last night and woke up to find myself on planet Pedophile.

ohmy.gif the link you gave was for Tesco's here in the UK. I had no idea, I'm going there shopping tomorrow, I'm going to have a look and I'll bleedin' well complain if I see any.

A strange society we live in indeed, when young children feel the need to wear this kind of stuff, and even stranger that certain parents are buying it for them!

Tesco, however, defended the bra. A spokesman said: "It is a product designed for girls at that self-conscious age when they are just developing.

Uh, I don't know all that many 5-7 year old girls that are "developing". Just freaking sick!
bogcreeper
ya know if anybody can give us the companies name that makes this bullcrap, I for one would like to knock two pennies directly into their heads. Seriously there is no sense to this but to make money. Younger children with sicker minds make for mentally challanged adults.

Boy, the times have changed...I remember when I had to fight with my teenage girls to wear a bra when they started developing...And parents are buying these for their little ones... that just plain sucks..... mellow.gif
Belle.
I HATE the sexualization of children angry.gif

I find it one of the most disgusting and disturbing elements of modern Western culture.
Left Field
I've never seen these things, but just hearing they are trying to market it is rather disturbing.

You mean Earth circa 500 B.C.? I hope you woke up with a video-camera because in about twenty years my favourite moment in ancient history is about to happen. I'll pay good monies if you record it.

I've just come back from shopping at Tesco and went and had a look, there were tiny bra's there but they were all measured in cup sizes, not ages. They did have one bra that was aged and I believe it started at 9-10, which still seems young to me, but not aged 4 young.

It's very disturbing that manufacturers even makes these - I can't see people buying them, well not any sane person. disgust.gif

ohmy.gif What a strange, sad, sick little world we live in *shivers*. You know I actually walked into my local Walmart one day and was looking at clothes. Well I glanced over at the under things department (that was an isle over) and saw a guy feeling up a silky bra all the while he was feeling himself up if you know what I mean *cringes*. A few people had passed him doing this a couple had young kids (that got me very angry), on this shopping trip my mom had tagged along I told her about it she didn't believe me until she glanced over. She said very loudly "That's just disgusting!" looking right at the guy, we both had a go to hell/disgusted look on our faces. I guess that got the attention of some of the people that worked there since I keep hearing walkie talkies go off with codes and such for his area. He still stood there trying to finish up after all this disgust.gif . Finally, when people started showing up he started heading for the exit. I have never been so disgusted in all my life with people. Now, because of this why do I get the feeling that more of these guys will show up in the little girl's underthings department. It's a very sad state of things going on around this world, I swear we try to protect our kids from pedos only to have companies hand them over on a platter to those sickos. mad.gif

Very true. There is a store called La Senza. They make g-strings for girls 8 years and up. What the hell is an 8 year old doing wearing a g-string? Let our children be children!
Obsin
Bra for 4-5 year olds to look curvier = messed and weird. Bras for 9-11 year olds make sense. Girls are starting puberty earlier. I personally did and was hard pressed to find a bra that fit properly and the same with several girls I went to school with. That was well over a decade ago. When I was in university I took some classes on child development and had to do a paper on extended adolescence - children starting earlier with very young ages for puberty, and adolescence ending later in the 30's and sometimes 40 due to inability to acquire things that define one as an adult (house, family, steady job, responsibilities). But, back to the point, if you are a parent with a daughter undergoing puberty at 9 with breasts developing, are you just going to let them go braless? Training bras really don't cut it if you have full breasts at nine. Adult sized bras are meant for more adult sized proportions. Consequently now you have a market of tiny bras for younger girls with developed breasts. It has nothing to do with Lolitas and everything to do with our changing biology (at least with bras for 9-11 year olds. Again, padded bras for 4-5 year olds is just weird).

Actually, today I let my daughter order a t-shirt and pants from her school with the school logo on it. I had HUGE reservations about letting her get the pants since they say "Tigers' on the butt. Why sexualize and draw attention to a little girl's a***? It's wrong, and believe me, I will be heading to the next teacher/parents meeting and saying something about it.
Purplos
This is horrible.

I thought it was bad when they started making high heels for little girls. What happened to cute Mary Janes with a nice dress? Now it's padded bra and hooker shoes on your 5 year old.

Jeesh...
Mademoiselle
this is flagrant child abuse . there should laws against this . mad.gif

I see where your coming from...but everywhere in town you see the girls wearing these sweats and capris, waist turned down, with "sexy", "cool", and numerous other sayings on the butt....My granddaughter has a load of them, and at 14 years old, she doesn't need to call attention to her assets....Believe me, I'm the most liberal minded grandmother, but what do I know grin2.gif

mad.gif Any company that will try to make money by turning children into targets for sick, and perveted crazies needs to be boycotted! And any parent who would buy a product that could very well lead to their child becomming a pedophiles victim needs their parenting skills checked! What possible motive could anyone have in advertising children in a sexual manner besides the obvious fact of exploiting these children for greed?! My heart just breaks at all the ways so very many innocent children are used, and abused in far too many ways that are now concidered no big deal by society! It is a big deal, and needs to be stopped now!

Are you sure about that? It doesn't actually say "four" or "five", so that could be a mistake or an exaggeration on your part.

The page doesn't mention six year olds at all, all it says is that the bras are sold along side a line of clothes intended for seven and eight year olds, which could easily mean that the bras are actually targeted at nine, ten or even eleven year olds.

I was in Wal Mart the other day, and Hannah Montana had a padded bra and panties set for size 7. I told my daughter I would not buy her anything from Hannah Montana.

Maybe this started here in the USA with the Hannah Montana craze. I knew they had gone nuts over the concert tickets, but not having any little girls in my family I am so out of the loop and do not comprehend what is happening. For all I know it started with the Ashely Twins. I do recall seeing they had make-up for little girls in the section with make-up for women once a few years back, or at least at a glance it appeared to be for little girls.

Yup. And there is Bratz products, Highschool musical products...the list goes on and on. They are marketing towards little girls and the idiot parents are goin for it. I don't understand them not letting their little girls be children. Childhood doesn't last long, let them enjoy it while they can.
Affliction
Nice now I have an excuse to 'investigate' the children's underwear sections at my local department stores.

This is just another product with (in my opinion at least) poor ethics behind it, just about anything will be sold to people as long as there is a demand for it, this doesn't bother me however if people are interested in products such as this I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be able to purchase them. Wearing a padded bra at an early age alone will not turn your daughter into a pre-*spam filter* fiend.
