On last nights show at the Goldfield Hotel, there were a couple of evps that I've been listening to over and over.
One was what Jason thought said "get the b**** out", and he thought the other one said "can we go home now". He came up with that pretty quick. As soon as he heard it he knew what was being said.
I really wasn't hearing those exact words. Even after Jason said it I still didn't get it. I heard something but I couldn't actually make out what was said.
I think sometimes I'm straining too much to try to hear what they heard.
If they really got an evp that's great. But I sort of felt like he was making us think that's what it said.
Only my humble opinion of course.
Did anybody else really understand those evps?

The shadows? Possible.
It was also seen on the Ghost Adventures show from a while ago.

I am sure, that when they do an investigation for tv they review everything before they even show it on tv. They might even capture more evidence and just don't present it on tv because it may not be conclusive enough to publicize it. ( Which is why it looks as if he knew what it was saying )

But yeah, I find lately I am listening hard for the EVP's TAPS have been capturing. Except for those amazing class A EVP's, the others they present are pretty weak. I don't get why they don't post them on their website so fans can hear or see any evidence knowing it might be hard to view it on tv. I think it would be kind of cool to post their evidence on the the sci fi site.

The shadow could of been from the camera guy? It kind of moved along with the camera guy to me.

But I thought the red anomalies in that closet were more interesting. I wish they would of shown those again. It looked almost like eyes???

I remember Ghost adventures. I was a second rate blair witch rip off. But lastnites GH was a normal Baldfathers show weak at best.

i know donna from the show quit because according to her myspace blog she didnt agree with some of the higher ups the way the show was going. im not saying that is convincing evidence against the TAPS guys faking some experiences but i think they realized the show was getting more popular and $$$ talks and people would get bored out of the show if they didnt get something creepy EVERY investigation they went on.

back in their earlier episodes they would go on investigations on not catch anything...that was fine by me it made it seem very authentic. i think grant and jason may of sold out. im not saying everything on the show is fake but i do think they may be faking some experiences. i kept telling myself no but actually my wife and i watch the show and she was the one that brought that up. they added kris for the eye candy and they get experiences EVERYWHERE they go...

True. The 1st and 2nd seasons were good. They debunked and were slow to throw out haunted. Now like you said everywhere they go is haunted.

I won't say that they did not capture EVP's at the hotel. Because it did sound like they captured some audio. But what was it saying ? I couldn't make it out at all. And yes I agree, many times I do not hear what Jason and Grant tell the clients what they think the EVP's are saying. Especially with this episode.

And the shadow ? That one was very " ify "

It's funny because when I saw that Ghost Adventures show the first thing I thought of was Blair Witch.

Remember the flying brick lol. What kills me is that people are so hard up to believe they will buy into anything.

Of course they go over their dialogue for the show, but I wish Grant hadn't acted surprised when Kris mentioned about the girl tied to the radiator. I won't believe that he didn't know about that.

Also, Jason didn't have to jump right in one nanosecond after he heard those evps and understand what they said. Unless he has some uncanny sense for understanding these things that no other human ear can.

Oh well...I might criticize from time to time but I'm still a big fan.
I'll listen, learn, and enjoy the show the way I have for years.

Oh, one more thing....I really hate it when anybody uses 'irregardless' as a word. Sorry Grant. wink2.gif

HI. I hear alot of evp's are like some kinda of group hysteria. I'm probably not using the right word, but basically you play an evp for a group of people. Then you say its sounds like such and such and everyone else tried to make sense of it and just takes what you say and are listening for the words, so then everyone is like yea i kinda heard it, your right. Did i make any sense???

I know exactly what you mean.
If you hear the evp without someone telling you what was said, chances are you'll never understand it.
But if you were to hear it and someone told you what it said you might say "oh yeah, that's it".
But I never hear anything close to what they're hearing. I must not have those special ears like they have.

Its called Power of Suggestion!

What we do as a team is if someone has an experience, we do not tell anyone that was there. We tell another person who was not there. If the story matches with the others who had an experience, then you have something. If you plant an idea in someone's head, that's what they are going to see or hear.

But yeah, it does seem like they are capturing evidence every where they go.

J&G have very little (if any) control over the final editing of what is shown on TV. Much of what is selected by the production company is based on believed audience interest rather then getting all the info out. That's TV life.

I drove through Goldfield twice on vacation. I took to calling it the 'Salem's Lot of the West. rofl.gif
Even after they told the client what was on the EVP I didn't hear it clearly enough to accept it. I usually try to ignore Jay and Grant, close my eyes so I can't see the captions, and focus on the EVP. It helps a little. I personally think they shouldn't have forced a "translation". They definitely seemed more credible when they'd allow their clients to interpret the EVPs before telling them their opinion.

rofl.gif Sorry I didn't get to see the episode. I have Ghost Towns of the West by Robert Florian which has Goldfield in it,so would have loved to see the show..
Wonder if there was anyway they could elminate any background noise to make the evps clearer. The ones Ghost Hunters International got at Frankenstein's Castle were pretty clear, and I understood what was being said, since my late dad was German.
As far as the woman chained or tied to the raditor in the hotel room, that was on Scariest Places on Earth, and I think elsewhere,so they could have heard
the story before, but forgot all about it.

Someone on page 1 mentioned something in the closet and waht looked like red eyes.Well at the site for Prospect Place ghost tours, conducted by a Ohio paranormal group, they had a photo taken in the I believe tower of the house which defintely showed a pair of eyes. They also had a drawing of a pair of eyes encountered bya team member in the basement, but can't seem to see the drawing or the eye phot on their site.
Also,on the web I have seen a photo of an old house and you clearly see what appear to be a pair of eyes looking out the window.Whether they belong to a ghost or an imp or whatever hard to say.

If they seem to be getting more haunting evidence or what have you,it maybe because some of the places they are going already have paranormal activity
going on at perhasp a more consistant rate.In otherwords, activity may go on there all the time whether people are there or not to investigate.

I don't think Jason and Grant have much control over how SCI-Fi Channel edits this for tv.My sister works in Tv in New York,so I might ask her if she knows how they decide what they want to show and not show.

Yeah it does seem a bit fishy. Let's just hope they are getting lucky.
