Harmonics - salt on a vibrating table
Click here to watch video - 02:04sSalt on a table, vibrating at different frequencies produces a visual representation of the harmonic nodes.

Wow UM-Bot nice find thats amazing, i wonder if it does the same pattens every time, I guess it might, not sure though.

As long as the surface isn't changed it should recreate the same pattern to the same harmonic every time. You could potential use a more complicated model of that idea to write music. And on the inverse, could create an "instrument" capable of analyzing those designs and playing back music written in them.

1. Do not watch this while wearing headphones.
2. Do not attempt with a dog in the same room.

cool huh, did you see the articles relating to Roslyne about this. Also cool how harmonic frequencies of musical notes, frequencies of the colors in the spectrum of colors in light and Platonic solids are are tied together mathematically when looked at as numbers expressed in wave cycles per second.

oh yeah, it's called the Chladni effect, when earlier experiments were done I think in the 1800's they used a sheet of metal and a violin bow to create similiar effects.

Can this be tied to crop circles???

I was thinking the same......
Also.....the patterns from around 28 - 60 seconds reminded me of Mayan Glyphs.....??
I loved this video.

Everywhere we look from the intricacies of sound, tone and pitch to the formations of star nebulas and galaxies we see evidence of intelligent design. It's all connected and all speaks to each of us letting us know that there is much more to life.

I half expected myself not to be able to hear the tones towards the end, but I guess they didn't raise it that high.
Very cool.

i've read some of the articles, also the patterns the salt makes are soposably the same as the patterns in some disigns in rossilyn.
one question i would like to try for fun to see if i could get these patterns so can this be done in any table or does it have to be like the one in the picture?
and does any instrument work? thats 2 quetions...

The first thing that came to me watching the effects of those 'tones' on the salt (and I have
seen this experiment a couple of times) .... is 'what' are these tones (or sound in general) doing
to the saline in our blood.. and the effects to our body and mind.
I have read interesting articles on the effects of 'Color' and 'Sound' used for healing the body.
Hmmm... what do you think?

I originally saw the vid on utube along with several others, there was links showing various ways to set it up, depending on your budget. Like I mentioned earlier, originally it was discovered using a sheet of metal and a regular violin bow, vibrating the sheet like the old electric football games.

I read some info, one article was linked through this site, about how not only maybe saline in our blood, but perhaps our very DNA, is receptive to or manipulatable by, various frequencies which resonate closely with it. Possibly even to an evolutionary state.

To add another side to this, the bible spoke of God speaking things into existence when He created the heavens and earth. Imagine the effect of that kind of force on matter when it coming from God.
