i woke up one day and didn't bother to look in a mirror, instead i went straight into the kitchen and got some cereal. my mom and sister were looking at my head, and i couldn't figure out why. i soon found out to my and everyone else's shock that my hair had gone from being below my shoulders to less than above them. my hair had been fine the day before, and no one in the house had any reason what soever to do such a thing. there was also no signs of forced entry around the house, and i am an extremely light sleeper, i know i would've woken up if somone had even gone near the door to my bed room. my hair has grown back now, but to this day i still ponder how my hair got cut like that. I'd really like to get some feedback, an explanation, a similar experience, anything at all.

PS: we did not find my hair that had been cut off anywhere in or near the house, not a single strand, there should have been plenty because i had thick long hair.

Was it a good haircut or was it done hastily?

it was done horribly, as if someone wanted to get revenge on me for something. whoever did it purposely did it horribly

no, thats just it. no one was ever in my room. no one has house keys but my parents and me. i was up till 3, and when i went to sleep no one came in my room. i woke up and everything was in place. its as if no one ever came in my room, but my hair couldn't have just got magically cut. besides, where did all my hair go? I'm still wondering about that

I have long hair and i just know that if someone had cut it off whilst i was asleep, I would feel it immediately upon waking . It would be akin to waking up without an arm or leg.

I either think your making it up . or your sister pulled a prank on you as payback . and hid the evidence so she wouldnt have to face your mothers wrath .

your so funny i forgot to laugh. have you ever had half your hair cut off? i doubt it. and my sister would never do anything of the sort. she's very sweet and we get along perfectly, she's one of my best friends. if you want to spend hours everyday denying anything u cant understand because you have nothing more enjoyable to do in life, i would suggest a place like skeptics anonymous for someone of your piteously closed mind

I have actually had my hair cut off . whilst watching tv . i felt the cut itself so the damage wasnt extensive. Im sorry you lost your hair geez .

I had a friend, Tina, who woke with her long hair cut completely off.. and I'm mean it was whacked- butchered. No one admitted to it, until years later, it was one of her brothers who admitted losing some bet and cutting it off..

i don't sleep walk, never have, and wasn't at the time. the only sleeping problem i ever had was night terrors. and i don't have a brother. only a sister who i know wouldn't do that. but thank you very much for your insight

I've heard of this before! and I also believe it could have been supernatural. The story I read was a lady had the same thing happen ... several times! It turned out to be her deceased husband who I guess was really evil in life and continued to be that way in death.

Anyway, if I find the book I read it in I'll certainly post it here for you.

I can understand you being freaked out by this ... if you say it wasn't your family then I believe you. If what you say is true ... it's sounds like a supernatural experience ... atleast to me!

You got abducted and they put somethin in your neck but needed to cut your hair to get to it. That's all I'm getting. That is the only paranormal explanation that i have (except magicians, and that is just pathetic). Most probably your parents hated the look, came in and cut your hair. Myaybe u was drugged so you wouldn';t wake up. Who knows?

My sister woke up one morning to find a bunch of her hair laying about the bed. She was missing a good portion of it, but all in random areas. Turned out to be a mouse getting things for his nest! (we grew up on a farm in the boondocks, so mice were just a part of life for us -ewwwwww ) That's a theory, but if you saw no signs of the cut off hair, then I don't know what it could've been. Strange story, hope you find the culprit.

no, i've never sleep walked, but i have done other strange things in my sleep. as for azuredragons theory, thats actually interesting to me. i went to london with my family a couple of months ago. i personally went through 6 metal detectors, and all of them rang. two times i was practically strip searched, and i didnt have anything on me. any thoughts on this anyone?
