Looks like an insect on the camera lens to me.

heh. this one is surely fake. Its a pic of a pic. they set up the picture somewhere in the right lighting then added something that would make the 'ufo' with something suspended...maybe a glass with a mark on it then overlapped the picture, got the shadow just right and click!

It looks to me like they took this picture from inside a car, and the "UFO" is somthing stuck on the windshield. I've actually taken a picture similiar to this one before.

If decades of sci-fi and eight seasons of The X-Files have taught us anything, it's that space aliens and the US government are a recipe for trouble, intrigue, and a whole lot of killing.

Sorry-
1. Vector analysis. Object is west of lens. We are to assume it is
heading North. It is a.m, and cameraperson has exited a vehicle.
They are on correct side of road. They were facing West, only moments
before, and that was their original vector.
We are to assume some person saw rewardly, an object about
1 quarter mile behind, and travelling perpendicular to their original
movement.
They have done this all wrong. It would have been more convincing
in other ways...
Bottom line- try again. And next time, place a cellphone call to the police
to time stamp it.
Seen better.

i WOULD HAVE TO SAY IT'S FAKE...

MmMmMmMm at first glance it does look like a fake
But only becouse off the darkness on the UFO is to deep in complection
But then i noticed the clouds are all broken up leaving dark shadows sparsely all over
Maybe its in between the shadow, and becouse theres so much light around the object, when it flew between the cloud and the shadow it gives us a fake appearance
But then again Maybe

Good observation.
Just one last idea.
This person had been thinking about this for two days.
The night before, they were just a little excited to try out their technique.
So, they rose early, to the task, in anticipation. My thought is this is
not the first attempt, though.
Yet, they have not evolved their thinking. For example, look at the major
geometric shapes in the frame. A large decending triangle occupies the
right side. And, an inverted pyramid captures our eye from above.
It leads us to the infinite perspective, at the end of the road.
This object lies along a plane that joins all the major sections, and they,
in turn, recede to a vanishing point, at the end of the road.
New Englanders are very cognizant of their roads, especially in winter time.
Chains on tires, ploughing roads, the road takes us home...
It is called mental composition, and leaves little to the imagination.
It is how the eye, the hand, and the brain interact.
Again, I think it is something reflective of ourselves, and not necessarily alien.
Spartan mentioned shadows. That was illuminating...thanks.

DreamRebel,
I have gone to observe the first picture, as it were.
I wish to retract my previous thinking, only because one can not
be too skeptical in light of the sophisticated tools commonly
available.
In fact, I am even moved to consider the story.
It sounds somewhat plausible.
And if this person wanted to, they could submit it to the best
photo analysis that will help them determine more.
I was taken by the color highlights around the object.
They become more apparent with comparison.
What I see is subtle, but maybe interesting.
Notice the flagging, or changes in atmosphere around
the object, in the first enlarged frame,
You might call it distortion, or shimmer.
It is not present in the second. The second frame shows
an ever so slightly blurred, and even larger appearing
surface. There are no effects around it, while it appears
in that way. The witness said of the object,
"...then it was gone". It was not reported to fly off into
the distance.
Some reports do refer to shifting, changing appearence,
especially before losing sight of the object.
If it was phasing, or some such thing, and about to
move at a high rate of speed, an energy gradient
might be noticeable, if there are pictures to compare.
Here, indeed are two pictures. In daylight.
As a matter of fact, most reported sightings,at least in the past,
were daytime events. Yes, if only we had a third picture...
Thank you for your perception to post this.
And please accept my off-the-cuff skepticism. It is just I know of
someone well known for their pictures, who confessed to trying
to cash in on fake UFO pictures. But, not every one
is guilty of greed...

May I just be a little more objective.
The story- picking up child at kindergarten.
That implies a convenient hour- perhaps mid-afternoon.
I first assumed motive- anticipation, early, excitement, morning picture.
Then I retracted that, in general, upon further study.
In fact, lets us work with known parameters.
First.............Latitude, longitude; New England.
Second........Winter Season.
Third............Rural Road.
Fourth..........Small, Deciduos (not evergreen) trees on right.
Fifth.............Shadow Lines From Trees
Sixth............Grade to Road May Be Assumbed Plumbed
Seventh........Hill On Right
Eigth.............Angle Relation of Tree Trunks To Grade Of Road.
Enough to Satisfy At This Time
First, the growing season is shorter, in comparison to southern states.
Keeping that in mind, the light-environment appears to be limited by a hill
on the right. The best light would be until the angle of the sun put it behind
the hill on the right.
Biology states that plants absorb light in the day, convert it to energy and
simple carbohydrate, and build plant structure at night.
Plants that produce more cells on the least sunlight-exposed side
experience photo-tropism (movement toward the sun). They lean,
or more correctly, they align themselves to expose their leaves to the
most light.
The trees on the right side appear to exhibit this tendency.
They are also deciduos. They do all of their growing in the longest
daylight time periods, Spring and Summer, and seek the best of that light.
If that is the case, the photo-tropic allignment is to the eastern morning light.
That is to the left part of the picture.
Also, the trees are young. Perhaps this being a rural area, some were
previously harvested for firewood, while saplings were allowed to
replace them. The stand of trees is made of small diameter trunks
with small crowns. That allows the sun, in these pictures, to
penetrate and give a good number of examples of shadow lines.
This gives an idea as to time. And it helps to demonstrate
the grade of the road, for comparison.
These apparent factors may add veracity to the witness's story.
If they told the truth about the time of day, it would be born
out by objective analysis, using known parameters.
I have looked at shadow lines, and tried imagine the exact position
of the sun in the sky. There appears to be a tiny reflection
of sunlight from the object in the first picture,
along the leading edge, on its right upper portion.
It would at first imaginings, align with the tree shadows.
It would also rule out ground shadow for the object,
which is unfortunate. There are shadows further along the road,
but they could not be from the object, and simply be
washouts in the grade.
That is why a third picture, or even a fourth, to the opposite direction,
could tell us about shadows that disappeared, when the object left;
and it would tell us about the sun's angle in the sky.
Perhaps this was taken at the time of day, so stated.
The sun appears to be in the western sky as stated.
This bit of truth does not rule in all that they say,
but it means they have not been caught trying to mislead.
That is one small positive.
