Just wanted to post a quick book recomendation. Anyone who is interested in Ghost Hunting should pick up Ghost Hunters: William James and the Search for Scientific Proof of Life After Death by Deborah Blum. It essentially chronicles the start of the profession, in the 1800s, at the height of the spiritualist movement. William James was a renowned psychologist, and one of the founding members of the SPR. It delves into their investigations of professed mediums and hauntings, and criticism they faced from the mainstream scientific community. This is where paranormal investigation began, so check it out, you won't be disappointed!
