Ghost Video

One of my all time favorites. I was about to comment on it being youtube it is probably fake till I decided eh, why not. I think this is one of the few that may be real.....at least it was spine tingling to me....and that is quite difficult to do.
Left Field
Never saw that one, but it's waaay to difficult for me to make anything out of it.
Razer
Looks like a reflection, or some clever video magic.

Why thank you Crywolf. I am glad I posted it original.gif ... yes it seemed very interesting to me as well. Take care!!

I watched it right after you posted and it freaked me out pretty bad. I had to take a break from ghosts for a while. laugh.gif I don't know why... Probably because it looked like a toddler to me. A very creepy fast moving toddler spectre. ohmy.gif *shudder*
I can't decide on its authenticity, though. I usually don't think footage like this, on youtube especially, can be real. I'll try to be open minded.
sam12six
That is one of the more interesting vids I've seen on Youtube. It does still slay me how people can say it's not only a ghost, but it's the ghost of a specific person and what the ghost's reason for being there is...
Jinxx
I saw this a while back and couldn't find it again, so thanks for posting it! Seems authentic to me, i agree with youtube being full of fakes sometimes, but this a little gem among them original.gif
Regency
It is a good clip, this was on the Scariest Ghosts Caught on Camera and her son was interviewed about it. He said they'd been experiencing strange phenomenon so set up the tape, so there's a good background behind this clip too.

Hi Reg...Do you happen to remember any of the bakground story about this video that you could post...thanks... original.gif
Mia Camille
for me it's kinda hard to say what that really is...

They'd been hearing footsteps in the night, so they set a video up overnight. Here it is on Youtube, it's from 4:22 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMg7hpnXiJg

Thanks Reg..I just watched it and as usual it makes me wonder.... mellow.gif

Kinda drives me crazy because I can't explain it away. I was laying in bed last night thinking of what it could be and I could come up with nothing at the time. If it is fake, it is probably one of the best ones out there to date.
Moonie2012
It's a car, see explanation below.
Regency
I think it's real. The only thing I could think it could be, now this is going to sound stupid, is a hair caught on some kind of draft, but it doesn't explain it's movement which seems deliberate. It's like someone walking from room to room.

JustNormal
I have seen that before and love it. Seems genuine to me..JN
-=LadyV=-
I know I have seen that somewhere, I want to say one of the earlier Ghost Hunters episodes... and I want to say the male owner of the house lives in New England.

Now it's going to drive me crazy trying to remember!

There's a couple of things that gets me about this video.

1. The way the camera starts to zoom in right at the start just before the apparition appears, despite the claim on the video that it's just a camera running overnight.

2. Shadow movements that pass across the facing walls as the camera zooms in, suggesting possibly that people or 'something' is moving behind the camera at the time.

I'm fairly sure the original film doesn't do that, and it was processed with a "zoom in" after the fact.

After studying it a little more, I think it could very well be an odd-shaped light coming through a window from a car maneuvering somewhere behind the camera. If you watch the slow-mo, you can see evidence of the light "spraying" across the different surfaces in the hallway and changing shape as it passes different visual depths, the way a small flashlight beam would if you passed it across different objects.

EDIT: Watching it a few more times, I'm convinced that's exactly what it is. The two-dimensional nature of the video tape hides it well - if you were standing there watching it happen, you would likely recognize it for what it really is, a sweeping light coming from outside and behind the camera.

Carefully watch the closet full of shirts on the left as the "object" approaches them - the light on them changes at the exact moment the "object" would have passed by them. It seems like the zoom-in is there for two reasons - it gets closer to the object, and it helps hide what would give it away as a fake (the shirts).

Also, watch the light that falls on both the wall with pictures facing the camera and the shirts - as the "object" passes by in the hallway, the light on both the wall and the shirts markedly dims, just as if a light source outside had left. Replace the insipid horror music with the sound of a car leaving, and blammo.

I am 100% convinced it's nothing but a car that did some maneuver similar to backing out of a driveway. They were hearing sounds? That was probably the person in the car, maybe he was their daughter's secret boyfriend stopping by for another late night visit or something.

It is NOT a ghost. I don't think the people who made it are trying to fool people, they just didn't study it enough.

at first it like the light of a car reflecthing, but it doesnt look like theres any windows near that area for the light to pass through , after watching it a few time it does look like a ghost.

Could be thumbsup.gif

The actual apparition part is convincing, but for me these factors at the beginning point to some sort of interaction or movement behind the camera when it was claimed it was a camera running over night.

Anybody agree with me? Just keep your eye on the wall by the phone cord when the "ghost" moves all the way to the left and disappears- it gets noticeably darker, like headlights leaving. The same effect is seen on the shirts milliseconds after it leaves the first wall - the light on the walls is moving in time with the "ghost". I bet if we could see earlier in the tape, we would be able to tell when the car pulls up.

The "ghost" is nothing more that a reflection from the edge of that chromed plastic you find on the headlights/turn signals (or something similar).

This one is creepy in itself, but yeah, it does look like something happens right before the light crosses the hallway. There's a shadow on the closet right before - you're right if we could only see the tape before the incident happened, we could better tell.

Also, could the light from the car have illuminated something that was there - like the ghost of grandma?

Wonder if the side of the hallway it came from was grandma's room and the other side being the little boy's room? It still gives me chills, reflection or not.

Considering we have a large light source (probable car) moving around outside spraying light everywhere inside the house at unknown angles, I'd say that's quite a stretch of the imagination.
