This was in the news.

"When an Ohio woman looked at an ultrasound she expected to see a developing fetus.

Instead, she saw what she believes to be an image of Jesus Christ, MyFox Cleveland reported on its Web site.

Monet Sledge, from Lorain, Ohio, got an ultrasound in preparation for her first baby and was shocked when she saw what appeared to be an image of Christ on the Cross, the Web site reported.

Click here to discuss this story.

She showed the image to her sister, a mother of four, to get her opinion. "I was expecting to see little body parts," Sledge's sister Tequoia Smith told MyFox Cleveland. "Like a face, arms and legs."

But she too believes saw Jesus on the cross.

"As soon as I saw it I was like oh my gosh."

"People say maybe my baby is gonna be blessed and maybe it is a good sign," said mother-to-be Sledge. "I don't know, I've done wrong in my life, maybe he's forgiven me early."

Doctors say the baby is perfectly healthy and due Aug. 12'

LOL, Yes I can see that happening.
bogcreeper
next thing, she will be telling everybody that she is a virgin.

It's a bit of a stretch to say it looks like Jesus though. Looks like an Easter Island statue to me.
Belle.
Creepy.
B for brutality
I AGREE WITH ANUKIS

God is supposed to be against religious depictions (ie: no graven images) so how these people find or attach religious significance to these "mysterious" images is probably due to their being uninformed Christians who must have never looked at the ten commandments; especially number TWO. I have the same issue with religious icons in churches and crosses around peoples necks.

Oh, my!...it kinda does look like it. Any radiology techs here to tell us what it is or what else it could be? I can't tell, but it doesn't look like anything I have seen on any of my sonograms. Maybe these anomalies happen a lot on ultrasounds. Seems like there's been a lot of Jesus sightings lately. First the hospital door, now this - he sure is busy lately!

Yeah goalienan, it'll probably be on e-bay soon.

THIS PROVES GOD!!!1!!!11!!!!1one

This is completely ridiculous.

& If Jesus wanted to make a statement, I think he wouldn't leave any questions about it -- an ultarsound?.. I've heard it all..
Blind Atrocity

This will be a girl and her name will be Mary !!! No, seriously .... I dunno what it is , but it really looks more like an "Angel"
with wings... Smile. I agree with the Ebay comment also..

I see the Jesus...and I also see three screaming faces in that ultrasound.

It's pretty fun to look at,but like someone else posted about the graven images...if we hadn't been brought up and exposed to depictions of the Crucifixion
and other Christian symbols, would we even see anything unusual?
Like another poster said,it could be an image of an Easter Island statue, depending on what you are exposed to.

This woman sounds like a Christian,so it's no wonder she saw Jesus.

Yes, there's a horizontal line transecting a vertical line. It must be a manifestation of Jesus Christ.

These religious sightings just get stupider by the day. I can't believe stuff like this makes it into the paper-- oh, wait a minute. It's Faux News. Maybe I do believe it--
Camozotz
Lucky coincidence. Cool though

I couldn't see Jesus or a lot else in that image. Is that the baby and the umbilical cord at the bottom? The scans of my babies were a lot clearer. I'm glad the mother found something to be happy about in that image. I think I would have been a bit disappointed. Hopefully she got a better view of her baby when the scan was taking place.
Lost Souls
it looks like the devil with his big white horns to me hehe ^^

Yeah, I agree. I mean... it is the son of god, supposedly. You'd think he'd just fly down on a huge flaming cloud or something with a chorus of angels.

Well... the lady gets a bit of a thrill and happiness. Not all bad. original.gif

Not too mention the images we know of "jesus" are from about 1000+ years after his death, and caucasian! I can be pretty sure Jesus wasn't European, even though DaVinci depected him that way. LOL. I'm waiting for someone to find a middle-eastern looking dude in a pickle.

As for graven images and icons? I don't do 'em. My church doesn't even display crosses. Not because they're bad, they're simply unnecessary in our opinion. Mostly the Catholic and Orthodox churches are big on icons and images, but they have a good reason to be. Their history goes back to a time when no one could read, the images helped tell the story... Protestantism eliminated a lot of iconagraphy, by then, the printing press had been invented and a large number of people could read, the icons and pagentry of Catholism and Orthodoxy weren't necessary to tell the story.
