Hey,
I'm just doing some digging around about a group called the weavers have posted up here about it already and came across some guy called Randy Weaver from someone suggesting that he may have some connection?? Now I'm not sure about this and have only found a bit about him and wandered if anyone else had any other leads about him or his story.
I'm from the UK and don't recall much about the story and was hoping some of you guys could help??

I think his story is the one used in the movie Fire In The Sky.
It may still be out for rental in some areas or online.

I agree with Jaylemurph. Google would probably be a good place to look. I can't say I've ever heard of the guy.

The Feds shot and killed his wife and teenage son in a stand off on Ruby ridge.

Randy Weaver was (and probably still is) a notorious Anti-Semite and I reject and repudiate his views completely. I regard Anti-Semitism as entirely evil.
However, Federal agents surrounding Randy's cabin at Ruby Ridge shot and killed Randy's wife (who was NOT wanted) as she held her infant son in her arms. The shot also killed to baby. (Weaver and his surviving children were eventually awarded a great deal of cash by the United States Government.)
Evil + Evil = Greater Evil.
P. S. The Feds later PROMOTED the shooter.

I believe the baby was uninjured.

Thanks for all your help, I have read about him already and am pretty sure he's not connected to the group of Weavers but you never know unless you check these things out. I just wandered if anyone else might have some more info on him than what I've found.
And thanks for reminding me of the Waltons, I'd completly forgotten about that show (although that was probably a good thing)

Are you certain? I remember news clips of picketers carrying signs reading "Baby-Killers!!!" and "How Many Kids Have You Killed Today?" following the incident.
