TARPON SPRINGS - Police were called to the home of DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey's mother on Thursday to investigate her apparent suicide.

Police have confirmed that the dead person is Palfrey who was 52.

Palfrey was dubbed "The DC Madam" by the national media after her arrest for allegedly running an upscale call girl ring in the nation's capitol.

DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey predicted she would be "suicided" on several occasions both recently and as far back as 17 years ago - comments that now appear ominous in light of the announcement that the former head of a Washington escort service allegedly killed herself today.

"If taken into custody, my physical safety and most probably my very life would be jeopardized," she wrote in August 1991 following an attempt to bring her to trial, "Rape, beating, maiming, disfigurement and more than likely murder disguised in the form of just another jailhouse accident or suicide would await me," said Palfrey in a handwritten letter to the judge accusing the San Diego police vice squad of having a vendetta against her.

During several recent appearances on The Alex Jones Show, Palfrey also said that she was at risk of being killed and that authorities would make it look like suicide. She made it clear that she was not suicidal and if she was found dead it would be murder.

Palfrey had threatened to release the names of well-known clients of her upscale call girl ring in the nation's capitol, and had indicated that Dick Cheney may be one of them.

"No I'm not planning to commit suicide," Palfrey told The Alex Jones Show on her last appearance, "I'm planning on going into court and defending myself vigorously and exposing the government," she said.

I wonder if anyone will say she killed herself just to make the goverment look bad/guilty. This is scary and well I'm sure this happens more than we could imagine. After all the C.I.A. is the biggest and baddest of all organized crime organizations.

Police: Woman believed to be 'D.C. madam' kills herself

By MITCH STACY
Associated Press Writer

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - A woman police believe to be convicted Washington escort service operator Deborah Jeane Palfrey committed suicide, officials said Thursday.

A body police believe to be that of Deborah Jeane Palfrey was found in a shed near her mother's home Thursday morning in Tarpon Springs, about 20 miles northwest of Tampa. There was a suicide note, but police did not disclose its contents or how she killed herself.

Police said they were trying to confirm the woman's identity, and declined to release more details until a news conference Thursday afternoon.

That didn't stop people from reacting to her death.

"This is a tragic news and my heart goes out to her mother," defense attorney Preston Burton said.

Montgomery Blair Sibley, who served for a time as Palfrey's civil attorney, said he was shocked. "I'm personally devastated by this. All I can do is mourn the tragic loss of her life," he said.

A man who answered a phone listed for Palfrey's mother declined to comment. Officers were outside the mother's white and pink home in the community of mostly retirees.

Prosecutors were trying to find out if Palfrey was dead.

"Although we're aware of the media reports, we're still waiting for confirmation from law enforcement authorities," said Channing Phillips, a spokesman for the District of Columbia U.S. attorney's office, which spent years investigating and prosecuting Palfrey.

Palfrey was convicted April 15 by a federal jury of running a prostitution service that catered to members of Washington's political elite, including Sen. David Vitter, a Louisiana Republican.

She had denied her escort service engaged in prostitution, saying that if any of the women engaged in sex acts for money, they did so without her knowledge.

She was convicted of money laundering, using the mail for illegal purposes and racketeering. Palfrey faced a maximum of 55 years in prison and was free pending her sentencing July 24.

Prosecutors said Palfrey operated the prostitution service for 13 years.

Her trial concluded without revealing many new details about the service or its clients. Vitter was among possible witnesses, but did not take the stand.

Vitter, a first-term senator who is married and has four children, has acknowledged being involved with Palfrey's escort service and has apologized for what he called a "very serious sin." But he avoided commenting further.

One of the escort service employees was former University of Maryland, Baltimore County, professor Brandy Britton, who was arrested on prostitution charges in 2006. She committed suicide in January before she was scheduled to go to trial.

Last year, Palfrey said she, too, was humiliated by her prostitution charges, but said: "I guess I'm made of something that Brandy Britton wasn't made of."

Kinda like the woman who "killed herself" after she sued Bush for raping her?

Pure coincidence! fnord!

This is odd. If she killed herself via gunshot wound, that's pretty much a dead (no pun intended) giveaway. Women very, very rarely commit suicide via gun.
brothers
Of course its very fishy. I do not believe for one minute that she killed herself. Many people in power have too much at stake and want to hide from the public as if we don't know. This will be talked about for awhile and then forgotten as most everything else. Maybe she left a nice book to someone and release it privately. Just maybe. Time will only tell.

the popular consensus is that her 'escort service' was run by the CIA itself, and used to compromise
people.

Any bets that she was under close surveillance and that the CIA found out she was about to reveal
things about snuff porn, satanic sex rituals, etc.? Everyone is talking about satanism and human
sacrifice these days, and my guess is that either:

- she knew something that she could no longer allow herself to keep secret, or :

- she was remembering things that her 'programming' was supposed to prevent her from remembering

This is a developing story and more interviews with her recently will be posted.

Palfrey speaks out on federal harassment, media blackballing and hypocrisy of compromised politicians:

linked-image

The government claims that Palfrey's former escort service, Pamela Martin and Associates, was an illegal prostitution ring, and yet it was allowed to operate for 13 years before Palfrey's attempt to close the business made many influential Beltway politicians nervous that she was about to spill the beans on their involvement - triggering federal harassment and a criminal investigation.

In response, Palfrey released a giant archive of phone numbers of people who used the service, forcing several public officials to admit their involvement, including Senator David Vitter and State Department official Randall L. Tobias.

Speaking to The Alex Jones Show, Palfrey outlined the long chain of harassment and surveillance she had endured on behalf of the government's "investigation" of the case, many details of which are routinely ignored by the corporate media, including how federal agents posed as a couple who were interested in buying her home as a means of accessing her property without a warrant.

She also detailed how her financial transactions were intercepted and also how the warrant to search her house was finally obtained under the pretext of anti-terror laws, of which this case bore no relation.

Palfrey eventually had all her financial and real estate assets frozen by the government before she even knew what she was being charged with.

Palfrey characterized the situation as "puzzling, twisted and bizarre," adding, "This is not a case about prostitution, it never was, it isn't now and it never will be - there's something very rotten at the core of all this."

Palfrey said she had been completely blackballed by the mainstream media who are not interested in the story, including the Washington Post and the New York Times who declined to speak with her.

This strikes at the very root of why the majority in Congress consistently oppose immediate withdrawal from Iraq, a new investigation into 9/11 and the impeachment of Bush and Cheney - because to lend support to such actions would leave them vulnerable to a brutal exposé of whatever skeletons are in their closet.

This is just so flagrant that I hope that she had evidence set to go public. This happens so often that it should be expected. Suicide by commitee. And it will be buried by the 'liberal' media I suppose.

Pure sarcasm on that one.

Could a Mod explain why this was moved to the conspiracy section? It's real news, and the thread title is true also, so why the need to move it from the "Real News" forum. mellow.gif

I all honestly, I think there is just as much BS in the "real news" section as there is in this one but apparently the views of mutli-billion dollar corporations are the "word of god" when it comes to what people believe.

It's still a news topic though. The woman died, and she also made the comment while she was still living that she'll be killed in a manner that makes it look like a suicide. That's all the title of this thread is stating. Just seems like it was moved for the wrong reasons.

You really find it that hard to believe Cheney could have been connected to this in some fashion? I'm not saying he was, but I don't see why it would be so surprising if that was the case. A lot of politicians seem to get caught up in this type of thing.

"Deborah Jean Palfrey, the US woman recently convicted for her role as the head of a Washington DC escort agency, has committed suicide, police say.

Ms Palfrey, often referred to as "the DC Madam", was found hanged in a shed next to her mother's house in Florida.

She was convicted on 15 April of running a prostitution ring, money laundering and mail fraud.

The case became famous because of the prominent officials - including Senator David Vitter - who had used the agency.

Suicide note

Ms Palfrey maintained that she had had no knowledge of her escorts engaging in sex acts with their clients.

But on 15 April, after hearing testimony from a number of the agency's former employees and clients, a federal jury found her guilty on all counts. "

it's more comfortable standing on the popular side..

it's your choice..

It seems like government assassins are getting lazier these days. Most suicidal women would try to overdose on pills. She was found hanging from a nylon rope in a shed behind a garage at her mothers. Carbon monoxide poisoning would have even been a better coverup.

It's like they don't care if people know and they defy you to prove it.
