No way. Gorillas are quite gentle usually, but if he decided to take you on, your dead

I’ve read that Silverback’s are anywhere between 8 to 15 times stronger than a Man, I don't think even the world's strongest Man could handle that kind of strength... IMO

A gorilla would pound an unarmed and unprepared human into dust. However, that's why we evolved our brains. Throw that same gorilla into a ring with a human who has prepared a few traps or is armed with a loaded and functional weapon such as a shotgun, and kiss that gorilla goodbye.

People need to realize, if you were out in the wild with one of these silverbacks unarmed and attempted
to beat the gorilla down would be wishful thinking, and well dumb. These animals fight for superiority
frequently, it's what they do. kicking one of these gorillas in the groin, (That is to say you managed to even
get that far!) it would be your death sentence, as it would send the gorilla into a rage.
I suppose a gun could do the job, thats if the bullet hit true.

I've been kicked in the nuts in fights, I've also seen many people kicked in the nuts in fights. I've never, however, seen the move take anyone down. It's a distraction that hurts some (and hurts a lot later, when you've got free time to whine)

Would a gorilla be stronger than a strong man of the same weight?
Comparison questions like this are fun to think about, but they are
impossible to answer in any absolute sense. There are too many variables
to consider. Here are a few:
A typical adult male gorilla weighs about 350 lbs (175 kgs). Although some
people have certainly obtained this weight, they were never the trained
athletes you would want to have compete against the gorilla. One the other
hand, if you used a underweight gorilla that is down to the weight of
human athletes, you would either have a juvenile gorilla or one that was
quite sickly. Any way you want to put this contest together based upon
body weight, either the human or the gorilla would not be fair example of
their species.
Another problem is what do you mean by strong? Most human strength
activities, such as weight lifting, involve a degree of skill as well as
strength (that is why they are still considered to be athletic contests).
It wouldn’t surprise me if a human could bench press more weight than a
gorilla (if you could even get a gorilla to try it), but that very same
gorilla would probably be able to tear the arms off that very same human.
A general principle in biology is that the basic unit of muscle activity
(the sarcomere) is pretty much the same in all animals. That means that
the muscle of any animal is just as powerful as the muscle of any other
animal. What differs between animals is how the sarcomeres are arranged,
and how many of them are dedicated to a particular action. This is a
difference of biomechanics. By way of comparison, you could put a 500
horsepower engine in a race car and in a tractor. The engine in both
vehicles is equally powerful. However, the tractor uses that power to pull
heavy objects but not to go fast, while the race car uses that power to go
fast but it cannot pull much weight. So, the two vehicles are just as
powerful, even though there is no way to compare their performance. Your
human and gorilla comparison would produce a similar result. The two
creatures may be equally powerful, but they are completely unequal in
their abilities.

The Gorilla's gonna have a longer reach... so watch out! After he swings... get ready to dodge and then follow up with a upper cut..
He won't see it coming.

Oh please enough Chuck Norris jokes. I get sick of them. That loser that does exercise commercials is not that tough. A Silverback would rip him apart as would many other humans. There is no human that can take on a Silverback with no weapons.

Silverback’s are anywhere between 8 to 15 times stronger than a Man... say that out loud 'at LEAST 8 times stronger than a Man', possibly 15 times as strong, I'm sure Andre the giant wasn’t 8 times stronger than a man, what are the worlds strongest men? maybe 3 or 4 times as strong as an average man? a female gorilla could probably kick their butt's... A Gorilla has a thick skull with heavy brow ridges to protect the eye’s, it has little nose to break and a mouthful of big teeth with large canines. They are robustly built and have 4 hands with sturdy fingernails and any one of them could probably crush your hand... not to mention they can easily fight in all 3 dimensions...

I heard a story that Mike Tyson owned a few tigers and during an interview the tiger started to get rough with him so he punches it in the head and knocks it out, then it just lays there and eventually regains consciousness and is all docile again.
If Tyson can knock out a tiger I think he could knock out a gorilla, if he can avoid the gorilla's teeth.

Ok, gorillas don't fight the same way humans do, they don't throw punches and wait for a counter. They go all out. Your best hope for survival is to either lay down and take your beating, or try to run away, period.

You just don’t get it. no Human, no matter how robust they were, could win a ‘un-armed’ fight with a Gorilla... heck, a Chimpanzee at between 4 to 7 times stronger than a human, could beat a strong man to a pulp... maybe you should consider a man vs monkey death match, since all of the great Apes are stronger...

It’s not the bones (although they are stouter and shorter so less susceptible to breaking in Gorilla’s), it’s the way the muscles are attached to them that give the great Apes their strength... your strong man will only get one punch before being disassembled, my money would be on the Gorilla, though it would be an interesting if short fight...
