A four-month old baby burnt to death in De Deur after his angry mother left him in a paraffin-soaked shack with a candle burning, police said on Friday.
Police spokesperson Constable Makgauta Serathi said the woman had a row with the boy's father over another woman he was seeing and poured petrol all over his shack at the Jackson informal settlement, outside Vereeniging.
He managed to chase her away and then went out. However, she went back home, fetched their son, put him inside the shack and left.
Serathi said it is believed that a candle burning inside the shack came into contact with the paraffin and the child died when the dwelling went up in flames. '

Why is she not more careful. This is awful.
So she soaks his shack with paraffin, a shack with a candle burning and then goes HOME to put her KID in such a place, and then LEAVES (Seriously, who leaves a 4 month old kid in a place with nobody around? 
Why go get her son? She obviously had a home of her own. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say it was to have a sob-story "He killed my boy" "I couldn't stop him", something along the lines of that. Or perhaps she was so blinded with rage she couldn't think straight.
