Mysterious Glitch
Who has heard of this and does anyone have any info on it? I have done my research and have found I may have a good chance of it. To explain what has happened before I go any further heres the story. (note these or some of the experiences that I have had and the most bizzare)

Around when I was in the fourth grade I was having a dream while sleeping at home. I dreamed of being a hero in a world similar to the old Mario for the game boy or super Nintendo. I had succeeded in saving the world and then everything when red or black and I heard a deep evil laugh. I tried to wake but found that I couldn't move, I also tried to cry out, nothing happened. But I kept trying. Finally I was able to say 'help me' and my sister came running to me asking if I was ok, and I explain what happened.

Same time but different day and I was in the living-room this time. I just was coming out of a dream and it happened again, but this time no laughter but I was trembling and my eyes jerked open and I was gazing at the ceiling and saw a skeleton as well as other things, and then my eyes shut and my head jerked down, my eyes flung open again and I saw a giant bee hive next to the couch. I woke up all the way and was able to move again and turned on the t.v. an didn't go to sleep for hours.

Around eight or ninth grade, it happen yet again. This time I heard voices yelling and screaming like my mind was fighting itself. I tried my best to wake up and was able to, and I stayed up for a few and every time I would almost doze of it would almost happen again, but I fought it off.

No more than maybe 6 months later, I let it happen to see what the hell. With this I got something really freaky... I heard a grinding noise like a the round sawmill blades cutting through wood and felt a soft touch curving around my right shoulder blade starting from near my neck toward my spine and curved to my side. I really freaked on this one and fought to wake up, which I succeeded. Again I didn't go back to sleep for hours.

I have been able to fight my way out of a lot of this occurrences and been able to succeed. How I do it, I will try to move anything I can, an arm, a leg, or shake my head. Shaking my head or moving one of my legs usually work. But this is really creepy and scares the hell out of me. Heres the URL to a wikipedia page about it... (the type that it mostly relates to is hypnagogic paralysis)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis

When you click the hypnagogic paralysis link it will say that you can die of suffocation which also almost happened one or maybe more. When this one happened it felt like my blanket was trying to kill me by tightening around me an squeezing as hard as it could.

So does anyone have any info about this?

I don't know about "info", but I have experienced it throughout my life (though less often as I get older).

In a nutshell, I wake up, but I can't move. I can open my eyes, and move my eyeballs around, but that's about it. This is often accompanied by a sense of panic or "suffocation".

Very occasionaly, I hear sounds when I'm in this state... but no visions (such as your bee's or skeletons).

After an indeterminate period, I can 'snap out' of it and move again.

I was led to beleive that "sleep paralysis" is a natural defence mechanism. If we are having particularly vivid or violent dreams, the 'paralysis' prevents us from physically thrashing around an injuring ourselves in our sleep. Normally the paralysis is supposed to lift as we wake up such that we never notice it , but it appears that this doesn't always work.

My situation was like this ~ I was asleep. I had an Out of Body experience. I was floating over my body
and having trouble getting back in !! My brain was going but my body was like cement and I could not
pick up my head or move. I finally felt a Jolt , and I guess that is when I woke up. Freaked out like WTF
just happened , and I could remember it all.

Well I have read that is one of the things for the reason it occurs. Once of the links I clicked on at wikipedia took me to a site that explained something like that. They say that it is caused by hormones that make your muscles not move like you would in a dream.
