I meant the two comments separately. I'm addicted to watching all the bad Scifi movies AND I watch lots of creature feature movies I rent thru Netflix. I just like that kind of stuff.

Well I was changing through the channels and came across Shark Attack 3: Megalodon which had to be one of the worst movies ever made. They kept showing pics of great white sharks for a fish that was 60 feet long, and the strange grunting sound the shakr made. The whole movie just sucked. I don't know what you all think so im asking.
Shark Attack 3, eh?
Heres an unexpected line from that very movie, and yes it IS from Shark Attack 3!!!

I'm not sure of the title but I saw a Loch Ness movie last month and it annoyed the Hell out of me. The only redeeming part was that Don S. Davis was on the cast. But the monster was described as a plesiosaur, yet moved like a sauropod, had feet instead of fins, walked around eating humans 'because it was its breeding season' etc. Also they took that whole 't-rex cant see stationary prey' idea and gave it to this carnivorous plesiosaur/sauropod hybrid thing just to be unoriginal. It was just so inconsistent I spent the whole film yelling at the screen, but for someone knowing nothing about the myth and all, and with no interest in zoological consistency, I guess it might have been alright.
I also saw a film that *might* count a few months ago, where a team of scientists went back in time to where CGI effects were very new and they were chased by scarily bad raptors, pterosaurs (apparently they got bored of eating fish and started carrying off humans to peck at) and a t-rex which later ripped off Jurassic Park: The Lost World by rampaging through LA. Lol. The premise of the film, minus the bad cgi and acting, was actually not that bad for the first half though.

My review of one of the worst yet (originally posted elsewhere).
There have been some pretty bad things on Sci Fi channel, but this may just top them all, and in all categories.
Aztec Rex
This has got to be one of the lowest budget films they ever produced. Supposedly this is Hernando Cortez's first invasion of Mexico and he brings an army of SIX men! The 'period' costumes consist of cheapo sheet metal morion helmets that did not even exist at this time the story is supposed to take place, plus equally bad breasplates, puffy 'pirate' shirts and modern sweat pants. Evidently they could not even afford $600.00 more in the the budget to buy an actual period matchlock musket, so they used a revolutionary war flintlock from over 200 years in the future (well, it is sci fi channel). The cannon appeared to be no more than a piece of sewer pipe on wheels. For the opening scene they seem to be carrying some 'supplies' in modern looking backpacks. Oh, and what appeared to be modern 'pistol crossbows' mocked up a bit to look 'old'.
Nothing about the native american costume suggested anything 'Aztec' , and the 'tribe' consisted of no more than a dozen people. The Aztec 'treasure' looked like plastic Tupperware that had been spray painted gold. The Aztec 'temple' was a thinly disguised portable band stage with an altar on top probably made from a discarded refrigerator box.
The basic look of the T Rex was the only realistic thing in the movie, probably a cgi program originally used in an actual dino documentary. But it certainly didn't act like the fast, ferocious, T-Rexes of scientific documentaries or the Jurassic park movies. Obviously it coldn't do that much, because the film was too cheap to use any kind of puppet or mock up for close-ups and biting scenes. Just mediocre, unconvincing CGI all the way through. The use of the Rex was ridiculous, it pretty much just stood there for people to stab and shoot, though their weapons were of little effect save for a 'magic' smoothbore innaccurate pistol (though also from 200 years in the future, of which one shot is fired that strikes a Rex in the eye. If this had been the realistic T-Rex of Jurassic Park, it would have eaten everyone in the film in about five minutes since they actually stood their and tried to fight it, instead in prudently running away as in JP films (but then, JP wasn't written by a complete moron like Aztec Rex must have been.
Cannonballs and crossbow bolts bounce of the creatures tough hide, but moments later, and it is not explained how it is accomplished, the hero somehow gets the T-Rex to fall into a pit of 'spikes', that seem to be no thicker than broomsticks, yet somehow impale the cannonball proof armor of the T Rex as though the spikes were needle sharp, massive points of surgically sharp steel.
The second T Rex must have had no armor at all becasue it is killed by a bomb made of emerald projectiles that would not have had near the force of the cannonball which the first Rex deflected.
None of the devouring scenes looks realistic becasue the cgi was so cheap, and building a large scale T Rex head to do eating scenes probably would have cost more than the entire budget expended on this tripe.
The film ends with the last two dinosaurs in the world slain, the 'good' conquistador getting the native girl and retiring in the village (now reduced to about four people), and Cortez 'promising' not to invade the now idylic when he comes back again to conquer the Aztecs (hopefully bringing more than six men the next time).
Horrible. Absolutely horrible. How could actual adult human beings make something this stupid, and have the conceit to even add their names to the credits as if this offal was some kind of accomplishment? Is the mainstream viewer audience out there likewise so stupid that this can be considered 'entertainment'?

For some reason my Tivo thought I would enjoy this movie, Aztec Rex, (Bad tivo!) and it was utter crap. I think it was even worse than the one I saw with the pack of sharks that growled and roared like a pride of lions. While DC has listed many issues above with this film, he seems to have forgotten the torturous acting!!! WOW, if sci-fi channel would just make 1 movie with the budget of three of these POS's then maybe one would actually be good.

Placid 1 was quite clever and funny, and did not follow the standard B monster movie formula that the second one did. If you recall, the killer croc actually survived in the film..... something unheard of in any of the standard format B movie garbage cranked out by Sci Fi channel. The monster always dies in those, becasue they all follow the same script. They just enter different monsters in the blanks.
Those films are so idiotic. I guess they've killed the Loch Ness monster a dozen times now........ as if the authorities would actually allow something like that to happen. Those writers are all morons.

I think it was the way it was marketed and the fact so many people believed it was real (testament to good marketing and good acting imo). I personally hated Blair witch at the cinema, but when I watched it alone through earphones, I picked up so much more, and actually really enjoyed it.

Another classic crypto B-Movie is
Curse of the Loch, I think that's what it's called. There turns out to be two monsters in Loch Ness, an evolved TRex with gills and a Itchyosaurus. The T-Rex eats the other monster and then the heroine stabs the TRex to death with a big sharp pole whilst underwater and with only one leg. It was awesome.

I thought the cloverfield monster looked a bit too human to seem like a real anima, especially from outer space. Almost like a quadrepedal ogre. It also seemed too r******ed to be able to swallow it's food. Either that, or it didn't like the taste of the camera guy and spit him out. Why did they do something so stupid?

Im thinking "Slither" ?? Might be the wrong name, but there's this HUGE python, at one point it pops its head out of the water and the hero yells "HEY" prompting it to turn and look at him. Very nice...snakes dont have ears!!!!!
So many other bad ones...some with big budgets, some with small budgets. Worst big budget - Swamp Thing!! Horrible!!!
