I was watching ABC's Nightline Friday night last week,and they had a very interesting show,entitled the Blood Line Of Jesus. They had on British flimmaker Bruce Burgess. he and some reseachers were curious about the mysteries of Rennes le Chateau in France,and how the parish priest of the town,became extremely weathly,after doing some work on the parish church. The story is detailed in the book,Holy Blood,Holy Grail. We really don't know what Beranger Sauvienere the priest found,but Bruce and his team believed that somewhere,the priest might have left some clues hidden in various places in the area.
The show didn't go into great detail as to how Burgess and his team found some buried bottles,with paper messages in side. The hand writing on these slips of paper has been compared by handwriting anylsts to Sauvienere's known writings
and they seem to match.They found a box with a cup and some other objects,which were sent to the British Museum.
They were dated back to the first century AD.,in otherwords,the time period that Jesus lived.
Also shown was a hole into a cave or tomb. You could see a large slab of stone.On the slab appeared to be something wrapped,the size of a man ,in a white cloak or cloth with a red cross on it. There were also other objects like chest and things there. In one shot,a closer shot,you could definetly see the human remains of a body that was mumified.
They were able to get some hairs or whatever from this body and had the DNA anylized.The body has a middle eastern origin they said. They plan to go and excavate the tomb.
Makes you wonder who is in this tomb,and why he was wrapped in a cloth of the Knights Templar.
