Recently, somebody posted a link to an article in the Sun about a video shot in Mexico purporting to show a flying humanoid.

I have been in the UFO field for so long that I have heard just about every description there ever was… And that one was no exception. I had read about sightings of flying humanoids in the bulletins of several European UFO research groups back in the seventies and eighties. So I was curious to find out if the Mexican sighting and film were an isolated incident. The Sun article did appear to imply other similar events.

Within a few minutes I found a page on Rense.com describing a series of similar sightings and videos in Mexico over the course of several years beginning in 2000.

Link: http://www.rense.com/general66/humsan.htm

How bizarre, I thought. There was such variety of shape, yet all seemed to suggest a humanoid form… Well, except that last one (in the Sun article). But the video accompanying the Sun article did not feel right anyway. The form was moving in a straight trajectory and there was something about its movement that reminded me very much of the movement of a hot air balloon…

But the other images on the Rense.com page looked more like humanoids. Yet there was something else that bothered me there: Some of the videographers knew each other. I had to see more of those videos. The first one I found was what I thought would be the most intriguing one – that of Horacio Roquet. The observer had described it (in the Rense article) as a tall threatening figure that carried a device emitting light with a red glow…”

When I found the actual video, all I saw was some form drifting about in the air. Nothing menacing about it. So I decided to look for more videos. I would look for the one by Ana Luisa Cid. Well, I found a video by her but with the name “Globo di Corazon”. Well, “globo” means “balloon”, right ? Why was she showing a video of a balloon ? I was soon to find out. The first surprise was how clear that video was compared to all the blurry ones that purported to show “flying humanoids”. It was also clear that the general shape and movement of the object was pretty much the same as in the other videos. But it was also obvious that, as the title implied, it was a cluster of heart shaped balloons !!! Yet, it looked and behaved like the “humanoids” in those other videos – other than the fact that this one was sharp and made identification easy.

What a letdown ! Those oh-so-mysterious flying humanoids that “defied explanation for so many years” were nothing more than stray mylar balloons. But what about the humanoid shape ? The witnesses did describe arms and legs and those do show in many of the videos… Well, yes. Just take a trip to your local party store and you’ll see them. Human-shaped mylar balloons are so common they even have a name: “air walkers” ! (Google “mylar air walker” and you’ll see what I mean.)

Anyone who has been to Mexico knows that Mexicans have a long-standing love affair with balloons. There are many balloon manufacturers over there and there are balloons and balloon vendors everywhere. It is then no surprise that many such helium-filled balloons go astray and end up riding the sky where they become flying humanoids in the overactive imaginations of many.

I went back to the Rense.com page and looked again at the cap from the Horacio Roquet video. That menacing red light-emitting device suddenly looked more familiar. It was a red heart-shaped mylar balloon ! And that “light emission” was simply the sun reflecting off the balloon’s metallic surface.

It’s amazing what one’s imagination can do to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary !

The purpose of this post is to encourage all who are faced with something they cannot explain not to draw their conclusions too rapidly. Whether you are faced with a real unexplained phenomena or looking at a picture or reading a sighting report, keep in mind that perception and interpretation can make all the difference in the world. The sad truth is that the more boring and mundane explanation is usually the correct one…

Never believe what (you think) you see…

And don’t program yourself to see what you wish to see…

P.S.: Rock Slinger’s description of his “UFO abduction” is such a perfect example of this.

hi "i take your point about keeping an open mind.a point i would like to make about our eyes and what we see ,well on this earth alone we only see very little ,but if we look through instruments ie telescopes ,microscopes and the like and then so many other lives and worlds become apparent ,my point being why is it that we dont believe what we don`t see .recently i watched an old video under certain light conditions and there was nothing to see ,but then with a diffirent lense a craft was clearly visible ;so what i`m saying is that what if there are many visitors from many planets but to our eyes and light that our eyes use are not visible ,that would explain their sudden appearance and dissapearance ,and useing that case is only one of many that i`m sure makes us blind to other life and worlds that with our primitive mind [at the moment] we have not learned to switch on and see whether it be by our eyes or minds.finally on this world we only have a miniscule of time in our life span ,but look how far we come in such a short life ,imagine living to a thousand years and what we may become.yours coolpolitealex

Thanks for putting all that together - it's pretty much what I thought about these all along. Mystery solved.

Hopefully people will quit posting these videos now so we can concentrate on something a little more "unidentified".

A point I am trying to make is to try and not jump to extraordinary conclusions when something you see cannot be immediately explained or else your imagination can take you quite far away from what you are really witnessing. I am speaking from experience as I saw something a few years ago that looked very alien at first but then turned out not to be so strange after all.

On August 22 2005, I went outside at 7pm to mow the lawn. There were no clouds in the sky and it was still daylight. I heard the sound of a small plane motor and looked up. There was one of those "lighter than air" little propeller planes - those ones that have colorful wings like kites.

I took a glance at it, but was immediately surprised that - just above it - there was a strange looking object. It looked like two old artillery shells back to back with a space between them. At first, I thought it must be a plane that I was not seeing clearly. But, no matter how long I glanced at it, I could see no wings or other details... Just the two shells with a space between them.

It moved in a straight line in a "corridor" usually used by planes. So I was suspicious nonetheless that the "other-wordly" appearance might be an illusion.

I ran inside to get my camera, but when I arrived it was already very far and the two pictures I took only showed a dot of light. I was a bit frustrated to have missed that and put the camera back inside the house near the entrance.

However, just as I went back outside, I glanced up at the sky and - to my astonishment - here was ANOTHER object exactly like the first at my right, exactly where I had seen the first and following the same trajectory. This time, my camera was near, so I went and picked it up just next to the front door and started shooting. I took several pictures.

I did not know what to think of this but called a friend who is very knowledgeable about planes and told him what had happened. I said I wondered if the position of the sun could make the body of a commercial plane look that way while making the wings look invisible. I took a look at the pictures and they showed what I had seen...

But then, after the chatting, I went back outside to... mow the lawn. Sure enough, within five minutes, I heard the sound of a jet plane. looked up and here was that same or similar object in the sky. Hearing the plane sound, however, made me think that what I saw earlier may have been planes too - even though I could not hear a plane sound in the first two instances.

Anyhow, I took more pictures. Then I saw two more - one right behind the other - which I thought was strange for commercial airplanes - but there was a plane sound this time also. But the appearance of the object was thoroughly other worldly.

I made blow-ups of some of the frames I had taken and found a faint presence of wings did appear in one or two pictures, but most of the other pictures showed exactly what I had seen: two white artillery shells back to back with a space between them. Funny thing was that even the person I knew who was an expert on planes was of the oppinion my pictures showed UFOs !

I went on the net and discovered a UFO case in another region of Canada featuring a video that showed the exact same object I had seen except in this case, the witness was thoroughly convinced what he had filmed was a UFO and even went on national TV to talk about it !

I'll try to see if I can post some pictures of it...

Here are a few pictures of the object I saw on August 22 2005.

Looks pretty alien, doesn't it ? But I am pretty sure it's a commercial airplane:

Mcfoogle has been abducted by aliens b4. But they don't let us say anything because his 100% true story
would actually make sense and he could back up every word with solid evidence; not just pictures of evidence,
but things Mcfoogle can touch and make references to from public observations from news archives.
Clamy worries that Mcfoogle may talk too much, so.

He shut up now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sad.gif

I was surprised to find that the other person in Canada who filmed an object just like the one I saw and photographed still insists that his was a real UFO.

In a 2007 update to his original sighting report on HBCCUFO, he writes:

"The first objects upon close examination reveal anything but a known aircraft. The gap between the 2 pods is distinct and not wing shadow. Blue sky is visible between them. I have changed hues, background colours etc. and the results all show a space between these pods."

Well, exactly the same can be said of mine. In fact, that's what made that sighting so stunning. The object looked exactly like two distinct and identical shells or pods back to back with blue sky in between and that is what you see in my pictures... It was impossible to make out wings or tails or propellers of any sort and the front and back looked identical. Yet, it was a plane...

You can read his comments here and also download his video and compare it to my pictures:

mcfoogle must confess to be true. but mcfoogle is not a high enough level to be able to move things with his mind yet.
first he must gain +1456.601 experience points in order to gain the feats and skills required to attain the prestige class through
which he can have psionic/mental powers to be able to use telekinesis which is moving things with the mind.

so far i can move out of my bed, but if that strains mcfoogles head as much as it does, he think he have a lot
of progress needed to be done before he can move other things besides himself.

peace be unto you.

If everyone knew what the aliens have been up to since Egypt, they might realize they have been here all along, watching and waiting for the day they would enslave us with our own industrial complex.

Too bad no-one is seeing it, and that day is scheduled for some time after new years, 2012.

EDIT: i dont know if it was top-secret or alien in nature(or reverse engineered alien technology?) but ive seen a damn UFO with friends.

Funny thing, like the movie men in black noone remembered it for over 6 months, until one day a friend called me up freaking out and talking about the night on the hill when we saw the weird thing in the sky. The memory seemed much more like a dream than a memory, and i even doubted myself and my friend, that is until he called up the other people who were there and we all got together to figure out WTF.

All very scary, but nevertheless if the government/aliens were doing top-secret testing(which is very possible as the area was back-woods and sparsely populated) what better time to use some kind of memory inhibiting technology as well?

Really though, you know that the agencies involved in that kind of thing have been fabricating stories to destroy credibility, its just what they do when they dont want the populace to figure it out.

Maybe even the "disclosure" project is disinfo? Seems highly likely they are using that to define the new "uncredible by association" technique, Regardless that almost all of them are government or military employed.

On a sidenote i spoke with a very high ranking officer in the Navy, who said this when i asked him if he thought there were aliens:
Im responsible for everything from the top of the atmosphere to the bottom of the ocean(he was a meteorologist and oceanographer), and i think your an idiot if you think we are alone.

What that means i dont know, its just what he told me, i cant wait to talk to him when he gets out because i can already tell he was stories up the wazoo of crazy happenings.
