We didn't invent that mathematics of science, it was already in existence, we just discoverd those equations over time. The fact that they are true and real doesn't depend on any one persons belief or disbelief, just like the existence of God. Those equations demonstrate what I have said above, Einstein is a household name because of this fact.

I agree with much of what you said except for this part here. Equations are mathematical descriptions, by themselves they are, only descriptions and not prone to the accuracies of reality. We can derive formula for practically anything, but without real world observation the formula mean nothing.

You say the fact they are real and true does not require belief, this I can agree with, because evidence does not require belief. Seeing light bending around Jupiter's gravity well and supporting evidence for relativity requires no belief, -Merely that one understands the evidence presented. God however, requires belief. God is not quantifiable, god is not measurable, god is not describable in experiment nor formula.

I personaly admit that I have no idea how old the earth is. There are great arguments on both sides. Most refuse or just dismiss any notion of a young earth without hearing all there is to hear. I myself have come to the conclution that no one really knows. Thinking we understand time is a fault of mankind, cause we dont.

A quick question, Josh - how do Raelians account for Ice Cores?

We don't believe that the Earth is only 6000 years old. The Earth has been here for a long time, so Ice Cores are most likely correct. However, the Elohim said that when they came to this planet 22,000 years ago to start life, the Earth was completely covered in water and the land below wasn't too deep. They didn't say anything about ice caps or anything, but perhaps there were there too.

Interestingly enough, modern science does not agree with you or Rael. The universe, both space and time, had a beginning some 15 billion years ago. If you wanted a sloppy estimate, you could graph (based on red-shifts), a few galaxies over time. What you would see is that these galaxies compress down onto each other some 20 billion years ago. This is sloppy because one must account for the acceleration effects and small variances in velocities due to cosmic evolution.

Any religion that cannot account for what is well known by science, is a poor religion, in my opinion.

The part of the universe that scientists have said began 15 billion years ago is only the part of the universe that scientists can perceive. Trust me, there's more out there and the whole thing didn't begin 15 billion years ago.

Really?

I wonder what all the others who demonstrated exactly what I stated (with sources no less) think of that statement?

As for capitalisng the species, I was not aware I was writing a peer-review paper. This a discussion not an analysis between scientists. This doesn't mean I don't give you reason regarding your comment.
I know why you mentioned theory as you did, I was just pointing out that getting to the stage of theory in science requires overwhelming evidence and facts to back it up.
I was not disagreeing with you on how long humans have been around for, I was just interested in seeing the information.
And it is just generally incorrect to capitalise a species name. If I was being overly picky I'd have pointed out it is wrong to not italicise it too.

Actually we do know that the is about 4.5 billion years old. There is no scientific evidence that supports a young Earth.
