Assuming I buy the "built-in, undetectable part of the circuitry" excuse - how would they do the same with an LCD/plasma screen? Last I checked, LCD screens aren't exactly two-way mirrors. There would need to be a camera, and someone would have found it by now.

As I mentioned before - the easiest way to remotely monitor a computer screen is via Van Eck Phreaking. Ummm. Allegedly.

Strong reason to suspect that two way cameras and microphones are in the Television sets. They can look into and listen into your house whenever the Television is plugged in.
There was a time in my life when I saw evidence of this in my personal life. It was really like people on live television were like responding to things I said and did. I took note of it.
One day I was sitting at a Mc Donalds restaurant and this guy sat near me. He said, those people on the TV can really see you. I did not know that. He said he wanted to go and live out in the woods somewhere and get away from the city. I told him that there was a time when I thought that the people on the TV could see me too, but I thought it was a trick of the devil to deceive me and it was not really so.
After thinking about this and based on what I have seen personally, I must conclude that the television sets have hidden cameras and audio equipment in them and people can look and listen into your house through the televisions sets.
So unplug the television when you are not watching it.

sometimes reality is scarier that fiction!

Is this why all my freinds laugh when I come over? I wondered how they knew I ran around naked in front of the T.V. Now that brings a new meaning to Tell-a-vision LoL. just DONTEATUS grin2.gif

And sometimes what is scary is that people can't tell the two apart.

Read the post above from the guy who received the Nielson ratings kit... That's what I'm talking about.

just to be clear, it was my wife's fault.

No two-way tvs in everyday use. A tv is a receiver not a transceiver. How could "they" even track where each unit were sold and where they went from there and with whom to what address. Although I'm positive it is technologically possible to do it,it isnt done. It would require operating like a modem with a seperate downstream and upstream frequency plus a modified tv. Also the incumbent catv operator would have to be involved and each return signal retreived from their network,it doesnt happen,I've been building these networks for 20plus yrs. Your internet and voip traffic is another issue entirely.

I'm not accusing unit of this at all (I justed wanted to quote his response), but I have a sneaking suspicion that the base of this thread is some kid who read 1984 for the first time and got a little freaked out.

(I justed wanted to quote his response),

there, i returned the favour.. tongue.gif

i was fortunate in that my neighbours educated me to the ways of the world.. the first time reader of 1984 is in for a bumpy ride. the author already had a crash course in conspiratology 101, the first time reader does not..

book is sitting on my desk for 6+ months now, haven't read it yet tho' original.gif
