I wrote the details of today
In my diary with dismay
As usual I wrote of nothing new
Except for one entry “he broke my heart in two”
Though my tears kept falling
I still went on writing
Not minding if I wet my diary
As I told it my sad love story
I didn’t want to believe it’s true
But what I read told me it is too
Cause it’s written with big bold letters in my diary
Saying, “my heart broke today “signed, Jenny
