Can you imagine how much information the goverement is hiding from us. Not only are they hiding weopans but also they lie to us.They could have already found live on other planets and they do not want to tell us about it. The only things we know that are on the moon and mars is rocks and sand but maybe there is more to it. I hate our goverement are there other people out there that think like me or do i stand alone?
Homer

You are misinformed, Anichka. Governments wouldn't lie to people, and they wouldn't hide anything from people either. You shouldn't hate the government, instead you should love the government with all your heart. You should trust the government and serve the government with unquestionable loyalty. You should be willing to pay astronomically high taxes to the government and not question as to how the money is being spent. Remember, we are here to serve the government and pay taxes to the government and in turn the government will take care of us...... Right?

Anichka,
i agree with what you believe.
Governments have to keep secrets from the public thats just how it is. Imagine if they told us the truth about everything, all hell would break loose. I agree that SOME governements tend to care more and spend more of their money on weapons and globalisation. There are countries out there whos people live iin poverty everyday and these governments only think about how they can make their empire stronger. Its been like that for thousands and thousands of years, but only now do we have weapons that can destroy the world.

Anicha I beleive in full disclosure of the facts I don,t think that any one person has a right to decide who should know what is going on .If your doing something you dont want people to know about u shouldn't b doing it( should you ). Governments are the basis of all societys (you would have a hard time running things with out one). However if you want to learn to think for yourself allways take both sides of the story and ALLWAYS analys where the information is coming from, as with Sadam Hussein's nuclear weapon's I'm waiting untill somebody other than George Bush say's he has them before I take sides. :sq

Nothing but a bunch of power hungry bureaucrats interested only in their careers. If governments were run as efficiently as a small to medium sized business, where results through economic accountability...

Oh, I definetly know the government is keeping stuff from us.... my problem being that I don't think it's the military that's doing it, because I've been in the military for a few years, and already I can see what terrible liars they are. If they were covering something up, it would already be public knowledge, and confirmed by now. They'd just deny it exists. Hell ,CHeyyane Mountain "did'nt exist until the 80's", despite the fact that the media knew it well enough to make movies with accurate reconstructions off the place.

I also believe the military has a hard time keeping things secret, but when they have to they can. The best example would have to be the F-117 Stealth Fighter, theres only one way to test an airplane and thats to fly it. No one but the military, congress and the people who built them knew about the planes. But what top brass thought to test it at the most heavily watched non-existant military base in the country? Who would know. I remember reading countless number of post on a long dead site about a mysterious plane flying through the desert sky. Many claims that it was a flying saucer, yet the majority knew it was a top secret airplane.
Im pretty sure that the government has a ton of other things hidden away because they think it's for national interests. What could be more important than helping your citizens believe in you by letting them know whats being kept from them? Maybe the Roswell crash was real, we wont know because it's national security, and when you request files some are censored I can understand that, but whole pages at a time? Theres more than they are letting on about.

it really sucks id imagine for the government , the way they see it they HAVE to keep secrets, i myself dont like the fact, the reasoning behind it is that there are people who would use whatever the government informed us about against the government, which would make them loose power. and we couldint have that now could we? Oh! another big reason for secrecy is that the government has made a deal with the little gray aliens that frequent this planet : they abduct and do whatever to whoever they want and in return the government gets neat little toys from the aliens to play with! isnt life great?

Granted, there are many secrets all governments have to keep from the public due to the matter of “national security”, i.e. military issues, but there are quite a few secrets they keep from the public because a few individuals are of the opinion that the public cannot “handle the truth”. They feel it’s better to keep us “in line” through out right lies that they spin. I assume that their perspective on this is that it will keep the masses from freaking out and rioting. Not only that but if some of this hidden information “got out” it would undermine the fabrications of history that the more popular religions have brainwashed the people with. Its funny how after all the lies spun throughout the years, if the truth came out, it would just leave egg on the face of the various governments and religious institutions which chose to shield the eyes of its people as a matter of “keeping the peace” or whatever purpose they had for the untruths they spread. It’s amazing how quickly they hire hoaxers to accomplish something when an event occurs that thousands of people have witnessed, just to calm the billions... It’s also amazing how governments will conceal (of force scientists, archeologists, or whomever to conceal) information from documents that have been discovered, which may be thousands of years old, that happen to tell a different story versus what our current schools and churches teach us in this day and age!

I was being sarcastic and humorous in my posts, and calling me(and Cufflink) an A-Hole is a bit out of line. I am no friend of the government, and like the next person, I don't trust it either. However, I'm not a conspiracy theory nutcase either.

Next, I need to point out that the US government has allowed such a dumbing down of its citizenry that there is an extreme level of functional illiteracy. The country now can't even rank in the top 20 English speaking nations for performance in written English construction. It is tragic to be beaten by non-English speaking countries, in our own language.
In this thread alone, the word "government" has been spelled five different ways, including two different ways by the same person.
And all of this with the word "Government" there for all to see on every page while you construct a reply, because we are in the Government Conspiracies forum.
This place needs to be shaped up. Forget about defending George W Bush,

It seems that you have enough time to spout off as though you suffer from uncontrollable episodes of blantant blurting. So take the time, dissect your post, and find the problems yourself. You had no problem finding the problems in what others' had posted. Maybe you should take enough time examining your own flaws, before you try to fix the world, one illiterate at a time.
Until you behave as though you want to be a welcomed asset here, you won't be welcomed by me.

Your mistakes are still there. I don't have to ask a Mod if you edited it, I can tell you didn't. I was also being fecicious about you being highly intellectual.
Next, you say that spelling isn't your interest, but literacy is. Well how is someone to be expected to read properly if that in which they are reading is misspelled? I believe they go hand in hand, unless of course you live in a glass house and enjoy throwing stones.
