the Dover Demon has gone down the same path as Charles Fort's
'procession of the damned', and disappeared into obscurity.
Although the area of Massachusetts is still teeming with reports of paranormal activity. Loren Coleman was among the very first investigators out there to investigate the sightings of the Dover Demon, he lists the area as a 'Window' area; a centrepoint for a whole range of paranormal phenomenon. In some places the 'windows' stay open for a short period of time (see mothman) while in some cases the sightings can last for a number of years.
Of course the reasons behind these 'windows' are not known, or even what they are...
