Does anyone know what happened to UFO Hunters on Sci Fi? I thought it was a decently produced show and I looked forward to catching it again. But I believe only one episode was aired. I know there is a similar show on History, but where the heck did the Sci Fi version go? Was it adbucted? Probed? What?

Thanks!

They just aired a pilot and that was it. I am not sure really to be honest, but nobody even knows what is what with it, not even on Sci Fi.

Never liked that show. They tried to make 'television personalities' of regular guys. The History Channel makes awesome documentary programs. The History Channel should do a UFO series.

I don't know about that particular show, but a good rule of thumb about television is if the show is gone, it's because of ratings. There are exceptions (Seinfeld was pretty much at the top of the heap [in the US at least] when it went off the air), but more often than not, if a show is moved from one night to another, or off the air entirely, your best guess is low ratings.

I remember watching the History channel's version of UFO Hunters and I thought it was complete garbage. I can't imagine Sci Fi's is too much better. It's too bad though, I'd have liked a good UFO show. Maybe someday.

Wtf? I believe only one episode aired..anyways, if I remember correctly, I found it to be a decent show, just as interesting as the other UFO Hunters (at the time). I used to really enjoy watching UFO Hunters (History Channel), and still do like it, but that man with the glasses has to go. I bet that he believes that E.T. is real. What a douche.

Yeah, definitely don't know if Sci-fi's version of UFO Hunters is ever coming back or not. Maybe not. I think it aired once after an episode of Ghost Hunters International and then Sci Fi aired the rerun a week or two later.

It was produced by the same company as Ghost Hunters. It was almost identical to the way GH is set up and broadcast, except its about UFO's obviously. Actually, it surprised me that I liked UFO Hunters. I thought I would hate it, but I didn't.

Oh well. Maybe it'll be back someday. Or not. Whatev.

Last I heard they were abducted.

Pilots run once, and then if it was well received a season would start next year. Depending on what kind of ratings it got, you might see it again at the beginning of next TV season. When is that? It really depends on the network, but Sci Fi just started a new season of several shows only a few months ago. This leads me to believe you have at least 6 months to wait and see if it shows up.

I could never figure out how two different shows with the same exact name aired. Wouldn't you just change the name of one, to be different?

Anyhow, I did see the one run of SCI FI's version of it. It was formated more like Ghost Hunters is, and to be honest, it was a much better show than that goofy History Channel one.

Not only does that History Channel UFO Hunters have that 'i believe anything' sunglass wearing dude, but that scientist guy really cracks me up too. It's hard for me to take a grown man with a twelve year old boy's haircut seriously. I know I shouldn't judge folks by their looks...but I can help it!! I keep expecting him to start thrashing on a skateboard, or giggling about girls...
