Busted.

Thanks, Wally. I don't have software to do that but it looked wrong, scale-wise, to me.

I didn't read the whole thread. However, the pic in the OP is fake. Not even a good fake. If you lighten it up so you can see what's going on, you find that the shadow is a different resolution from the rest of the pic. Also there are some funky smeared spots where something was blurred out. Most telling, is the fact that the "shadow" is behind one of the leaves it's supposed to be behind, but in front of another one. Someone tried to put it behind something to make it look real, but didn't do a very good job.

Busted.

Good Catch!

Like I said, several of the photos look fake, but there is one that I have been scratching my head at.
In it you can see right thru the shadow, to the leaves and such....

Now, I'm not saying ALL the photos are fake. There are a couple that look geniune. Maybe the some of the people who took this pictures honestly think it's paranormal when there is a more natural explanation. I have had people show me photos that they thought was a ghost or shadow, when it was an optical illusion. Not their fault, it could happen to anybody.
My sister and her husband are amatuer phtographers (They do it as a hobby, and have tons of photo equipment, etc.) and they pointed out to me some of the problems with the photos, and such.

All I'm saying is everyone, needs to watch for people who fake these photos claiming they are real.

We have something similar to Zombie Road on Long Island called Mt. Misery & Sweet Hollow Road in Melville, NY.

It has a lot of folklore and legends behind it which so far remain to just be stories. I don't think there has been a team with solid evidence thus far to proclaim this area to be active yet. However, with it having a deep history it holds the potential to hold Paranormal Activity.

A lot of people including myself have come out of there experiencing something you cannot explain.

WOW I Heard about Mt.Misery and some of the BEST EVP's I ever heard, by another team. It was skeeery omg..JN
CrOM_94
im sure they are fake.....think about the man (or woman) that took them. I f a shadow figure would stand right in front of me or about 6 bogcreepers staring at me from the hill i would run like a big sisy all the way home.........actualy i would take a pic with them and get close, because im not afraid of death, but there aren't many people like me and when the natural instinct of saving your skin and maybe the feeling of fear the spirits emit would make me or even a respectable ghost hunter run. They are fake and i am not going to repeat what supervike adn the other sceptics said at the begining of the thread. Aniway good job rochiz87 thumbsup.gif
MasterPo
Sweet Hollow and Mt. Misery are far from Zombie road insofar as danger of being there. wink2.gif

As for levels of activity IMO Sweet Hollow is far more myth than reality. Mt. Misery OTOH does have very odd experiences that can't easily be explained away...
Pluto-x
I've based my opinion on Mt. Misery & Sweet Hollow from all the interviewing of other numerous Paranormal Teams as well as independent investigators. I've also attended lectures about it who are very credible source of people who have done a ton of research which include hard copy records of history, and a lot of exploration in the area itself. Whenever you attend a public area such as Zombie Road or Mt. Misery, there is always the possibility of danger. With the combination of crazy locals, teenagers etc; You must always be on your guard with an investigation. No matter where you go. You just never know who is out there and willing to mess with you. Safety should always be a consideration whether its an outdoor or indoor investigation.

From what I saw, heard and read, everything is genuine. The photo of all the children is NOT fake because more than one team got the same images. The black mass is something I have seen before, so to me I feel its authentic. The Zombie excursion was pretty amazing, and you could feel they were leading up to something but no clue what. The outcome was amazing, and there were so many of them up there. There were hundreds of dead animals, and it showed clips of I believe it was 1984 of finding dead babies and people. That is one place I wouldnt go for all the tea in China LOL..They narrated alot, and explained how it couldnt be fake or a camera issue etc. I am not naive enough to believe everything, but I would say for the most part, GENUINE..JMO..JN
I agree with you I would not gothere for nothing but I believe it to even the cop advised aganist it ,must be some kind of portal...

I know. The cop was a little camera shy and strange, but he certainly made it clear as to the dangers involved. I was on the edge of my seat as I waited to see what they would run into up there..<shuddering> JN

He was definately hamming it up for the camera. wink2.gif

I would have liked to examine the picture of the alledged shadows appearing from behind the trees on the thermal cam.

I've worked with that kind of thermal cam before and one of the problems with that type of camera as you probably noticed in the video is there's no way to connect a recorder directly to the camera like on some models of FLIR (like TAPS uses). So pics have to be taken of the video screen itself. That in turn looses some level of image quality (a camera filming another camera).

Also, I would have liked to view the location of those shadows from another angle to prove all those black forms weren't just the natural heat shadow of the trees.

That cop made me laugh cause he acted so strange, secretive but funny. The one with the shadows was strange for sure, but as we know, more than one investigator got the same kind of shot. They were different sizes and shapes, but I dont know that much about thermals..I would go up there, during the day with about 400 other people, other than that, too skeery for my liking. I really liked the EVP's but they were too disturbing due to the fact they were children's voices, and screams. Would you ever go there with your team? JN

I taped the show and just watched it last night. I actually just taped it because it was on after ghost hunters. I had no idea that zombie road was on it. I first walked Zombie road back in 94. Stupidly, I was 16 and went with some guy afterwork that I barely knew. It was still daylight when we started. It didn't feel creepy at all at first. There were some beer cans and stuff on the road, so you could tell people partied there. The closer we got to the railroad tracks the scarier it got. I felt like we were being watched and could hear what sounded like drumming in the distance. Like native drumming. There were also some weird red lights in the woods. Very small faint lights. But there is a road close by and houses in the distance. It's not totally in the middle of nowhere, so there definitely could have been an explanation. I never went as far as they did. They went over a bridge. It's a really far walk if you go that far. None the less, I couldn't wait to get off that road that night.

I went back a few times with other friends and boyfriends. Nothing out of the ordinary happened during those times. The area does have a bad vibe to it.

I didn't care for the production of that program. They mainly just rehashed that same old stuff over and over. I thought it actually had little substance, but lots of flashing editing. And that cop talking about the road, was way funny. I think they just don't want people smoking and drinking down there. There are no trespassing signs everywhere.

I was completely teasing when I said that So Sho! I would totally love to take a road trip down to Zombie Road to see what it's all about. I thought the Hokey Pokey was what it was all about until this thread started. hmm.gif Seriously though, my lovely children get out of school on the 30th of May, then we have a week of driver's ed courses (look out) so the middle of June would probably be a sure bet for me. A weeknight would probably be the best like a Wednesday or Thursday. Anyone else interested? I'll be sure to bring along a pack of depends--just in case I get the @#$@% scared out of me. I'll bring extras for everyone else! Toodle Loo! original.gif

This place sounds incredibly awesome. Living in the Chicagoland area, a trip to MO wouldn't be terribly far or long. I'm definately interested in checking this place out this summer. Those pics on the website, although some (not all) look really fake, are creepy and interesting to say the least. To personally catch something like that on film would be a dream come true.
.JJ.
I also live very close to this road. I've been there a few times & have experienced nothing abnormal, so I can't say if it could be haunted or not. If anyone wants to check it out, I could give you a tour. Just don't be too freaked out if I decide to bring my SigSauer .40 cal with me. lol
OzarkHowler
I live in southern MO and this is the 1st time I have heard of it, really creepy, especially all those shadow people on that hill.

I first heard about zombie road last week, and last night me and a few friends decided to go. We didn't even make it a mile in. There's just something about the road that is really freaky. We kept hearing coyotes n weird noises something just wasn't right about the place. I didn't get anything except for an orb in a picture, but my friends got alot more. There is something haunting that road.
Plainbob13
Wow. people still talking about that joke of a show.
Blondigeist
I loved that show! I would love to go there and spend a couple of days too. Just the history/legend behind the place is enough for me!
.JJ.
I went out there the other morning with the dog. It was a cool morning with a bit of sun shining through a little bit of fog. I saw or experienced nothing unusual, the dog would have went nuts if so. The place is very serene, deep in the woods with tall bluffs on both sides of the road.

Some of these pictures are indeed creepy, especially the one with the children on the hills, but a bit hard to believe no? hmm.gif But i'd love to visit the place one day for sure:)
