Whispering Eagle

I was just interested in finding other movies that are so called true stories. I have watched the movie "Rose Red" and wonder if someone would know what other movies or stories are similar to this. It intrigues me that activities of hauntings or ghosts can be found but still are thought of as fiction. I have experienced somethings in my life that have made a believer out of me. Take Hollywood out of the picture and what do you have????
Lets discuss movies that are from real life experiences that one might be able to find out of DVD nowadays??? Any suggestions???

I must have missed something, I thought Rose Red was by Stephen King and entirely fictional. Feel a bit dumb now.

Yeah. Fairly certain that it is a work of fiction.
But, I saw the mothman when I was about 12, and that scared the hell out of me because it was supposedly true.
Also, The Exorcism of Emily Rose is meant to be true as well.
I am certain that there a hell of a lot more than that, but those are the only two which jumps to mind.

It is fictional:
Rose Red (also known as Stephen King's Rose Red) is a television miniseries scripted by horror novelist Stephen King. The series was first broadcast in the United States on ABC in 2002. The story involves a mansion called Rose Red being investigated by parapsychologist Dr. Joyce Reardon and a team of psychics.
Marketing of the film presented the movie as based on actual events. A tie-in novel was published that is based on King's script called The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer: My Life at Rose Red (2001) under the pseudonym Joyce Reardon, Ph.D., and claimed to be the actual diary of Ellen Rimbauer. Speculation that Stephen King or his wife Tabitha King had written the book raged until Ridley Pearson was revealed as the novel's author.

My sister was TOTALLY obssessed with this, and when she found out it was fiction it broke her heart...
It is based on the Winchester Mystery House, though.
(My sister wanted to buy the house and have it eat people....
