A lot of caffeine will draw water out of your body and possibly make you dehydrated in the long run. So please be careful when drinking the energy drinks!

You can do that with a blog. Not trying to be a killjoy, but this is not a topic for a discussion thread. Good grief.

No no, Eric, not at all, and in most cases I would agree with you. It's just, the way I see it, there wouldn't be much to put in a blog. "Today I worked for 24 hours on a boat. And watched Lord of the Rings." At least this way, he can just have a normal discussion with people, and it seems to be attracting a bit of interest. I'm thinking that as long as he's keeping himself, and others on the board, entertained - then he must be doing something right.

fair enough without starting a new thread in wil infact pose a question for debate..
does a man spending more time at work then at home to provide for his family, realy provideing for his family or is hs simply being selfish in his own pursuits.
what would someone else limit of hours a day be,before they said no,,i cant say no because as a captain of a vessel i cant leave with out being properly relieved, with out being derilic in my duties....but i can refuse to run a bout for safty issues...so what are you lines drawn in the sand as far as work goes.
2 very debatable questions

We do?...Oh, we do. My apologies, I'd never noticed before.
"does a man spending more time at work then at home to provide for his family, realy provideing for his family or is hs simply being selfish in his own pursuits." You're providing for your family, whom you obviously care for, by working in a way that you care about. I don't see that as selfish.
