Hi,

I've experienced dreams that have happened the next day and years after. I only realize I've dreamed of it when I witness it.
The one which really freaked me out was 2 days back, I was walking around in a shop when it struck me. I've seen this, I've had a dream of this. I know this because all the detail and it just came back to me. The dream was about 3-4 years back because I know I wasn't living in Australia then. This has happened many times.

I tried looking up Deja vu but I actually don't understand It very well.

Can someone actually explain it to me exactly how this works?

Btw, I am 14 years old and I'm just very curious hmm.gif,
Oh and I'm sorry If I haven't posted this under the right topic

I have things like that alot. It started out as I would only remember it once it happened...But now I'm startin to remember it before it happens...

Ive had the same happen to me as well.
Kind of like a 'deja vu' but not the next day.. maybe
months or couple years later. But havn't had anything
happen weird like that lately.

It's important to note that you don't remember that you dreamt about it until it happens. That indicates that it's probably a trick of your brain, very much like Deja vu.

Deja vu

Psychology- the illusion of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time.
-An impression of having seen or experienced something before

This is most likely what you're describing, and yes, I have had this happen to me before too. Deja vu is in essense just an event or something you experience that you know (or felt) that you already lived through. It can be a very eerie feeling, because when you're in the same place, at the same time, with the same people, talking about the same exact thing you've talked about before or something, it can feel incredibly strange and foreboding even. One of the far-out theories that I always liked to contribute to it, is that we actually have experienced it before, but in that time, something else happened, that wasn't meant to happen. So we get to live that part again, to make it right, or change it, or something. tongue.gif Although everytime I've experienced deja vu it was always during insignificant things, like, "Woah! I know I've eaten at this restaurant before, with you, even though I didn't know you back then." Or, "Wait a second. I knew you were going to say that. This has definitely happened before. Don't you remember? :\" It's not anything that you can say is a really life-altering event. But who knows? ;P Maybe before when it did happen, the person I was with ended up having an argument with me, and I never saw them again. Mostly unlikely ;P, but still fun to ponder about.
