Okay so maybe everyone will think I'm crazy, but I want to know what other people think about this. I believe that dreams are a recap of the day, but I've had the same dream about the same person for the past 2 weeks. For the past 2 weeks, I've had a dream about a little girl. The dreams are different, but the ending is always the same. For instance, last night's dream was about the little girl and she was in an orphanage. I ended up saving her from the orphange collapsing. But, 3 days ago, I had a dream that I found the girl at the side of the road and brought her home. The ending is always the same though: She sits on a chair in my room trying to talk to me, but I ignore her and walk out. Before I walk out though, I ALWAYS tap the mirror 3 times on my way out and the girl gets up a tries to write something on the mirror, but I can never read it. About a week ago, I woke up from that dream at about 3:30ish and I walked out of my room to get water. On my way to the kitchen, i heard creaking in my dining room floor, but everyone was asleep. Then, two days after, I woke up from the same dream, probably at about the same time, went to get water, and when I went back to room, I swear I though I saw someone in the mirror at the end of my hall. The lights were all off, but something completely white was in the mirror. I thought I was seeing things and went back into my room. I feel like she's asking for help in a way. So I guess the point here is, am I crazy, paranoid, or is this real?

i would say its kinda early to tell.. keep monitering it... it is possible to have a repeated dream especially if your focused on it. as far as the paranormal it could be a huge coincidence but just remain sceptical and keep us posted.

This dream about the little girl might mean that you have a desire to communicate with yourself but that communication has not yet gotten through. Often in dreams there are secret codes or messages that are given so as to trigger memories of the dream in your waking life so you dont forget them. That's what those three knocks are i believe.

Could be one of two things: your own subconcious trying to get your attention, or an entity or ghost or energy matrix (however you think of it easiest) you "picked up" who is trying to establish the relationship and create a bond or space in your life.
Are you going through downsizing at work, or troubles with a friend or family which could make you feel "orphaned" or at a loss in trying to deal with it? As another poster said here, sometimes the dreams are about us, and our feelings, actually. I read a psychologist whose hypothesis was that everyone in our dreams is actually a part of us, not someone else even if they resemble a friend or someone different we know. Personally, I don't know this is true, but using it has often helped me to figure out a dream that makes no sense otherwise. I am often surprised to realize I feel this or that way under it all and it helps me to deal with it more constructively or I gain personal insight by it. The dream could be your subconcious expressing that an aspect of you feels orphaned and doesn't wish to. Only you know what is going on in your emotional life to know if that fits.
To consider the paranormal side of the house, was there anything you did, or a place you went to just before the dreams began? Visited a person in a hospital? Went antique-ing with friends? Anything out of the ordinary routine like that? Anything that jumps out at you if you try to think back, however mundane? Visited a graveyard, anything?
Just some things to think about, Finally, if you have a video capability, set it up to watch that mirror all night and forget about it further unless something shows up. Others would argue with me, however cases where an entity tried to get "picked up" by me (attach itself to me) are not welcome and become problems, in my experience. Your subconcious might be trying to warn you this is happening, and if so (large IF, depending on your lifestyle and interests) then deal with it. *I* would be rid of it in a hurry, right away. Others would think it was kewl and believe it is a child and choose thier own way. Your choice.
A known friend, near his or her passing over and death, or brief visits to a point, I don't worry about. I don't worry if I note entities elsewhere. I do put a halt if they try to come with me and have no business doing so or lingering about, let alone messing with my dreams and subconcious.
Other's differ widely in their opinions of it all, so I'm sure you'll have an array of advice to consider what fits for you.
Just my opinion.

i was actually trying to think about anything unusual in my life, and i couldn't find anything. i've always been kind of an unsocial person, so i don't go many places. i can't think of anything that would trigger dreams like this. thank you for the post NS. it has actually opened my mind to considering the other things you said.
