A norwegian TV Show, called Jakten på den 6. sansen (The hunt for the sixth sense) have finished.

They did a lot of experiments on various psychics, and the purpose was to declare a winner as the "most psychic".

The winner was Linda Thorstensen.

Some of the things the psychics managed to do in this show was to find a person located on a specific island without knowing anything about it or where he was.

Do readings on randomly selected people and have the psychics tell about their life history etc, with success.

Find a family located in a specific room in a big hotel - successful.

That is some of the tests I know that were performed with success and documented through this TV show. Highly interesting, though I have not seen it myself as I do not live in Norway any more.

A friend told me about it, and showed me a news paper article about it ( http://www.laagendalsposten.no/article/200...ULTUR/558450985 )

But sounds like an interesting concept specially if they did these experiments in a controlled, monitored and scientific way which rules out any cheating or chance etc.

Unfortunately this is all I know about the program at this moment.

I often wonder about those shows... I've seen something like that a long time ago, but, I dunno, maybe it's just my pre-consieved perseptions about shows that claim to have psychics...

Hmmm, Sounds interesting Darkbreed. Of course I don't speak or read Norweign (sp) so I can't read the article. No time to babblefish right now. But the only way I could see to be positive that they weren't cheating is if they took the answers, locked them in a box, then locked that box in a big see thru box that was sitting on a major street where there Already was a established Live feed camera that is controlled by the city. You know, kind of like when those escape artist get locked in a big see thru box in a major area and then attempt to get out. But you'd have to lock the box from the outside in this case also.

Just an idea of course. What do you think?

Yeah, I saw this show when I was at my grandparents' house visiting one day my granddad was watching this show about like a camp for psychic kids where they train their abilities. But there were some parts of the show i was unsure about, like when one kid claimed to feel something, or like get a sense of like smoke or something, all the other kids would suddenly speak up, and say, "oh, well I felt a hot sensation running up my back", or "yeah, I smelled smoke", or, "I saw a vision of fire." and it was almost like they would decide what they felt based on what the other kids did. There were some parts of the show that were fairly convincing, though.
