An Australian man was fined after being pulled over in a unregistered vehicle. Why? Because he buckled up his case of 30 beers and left his five year old child unbuckled. The beer was buckled in the center of the back seat between two other adults while the child was left clumped up in the back floors center. " I havent seen anything like this before" said the officer that discovered this situation. "THIS IS THE FIRST TIME BEER HAS TAKEN PRIORITY OVER A CHILD" he also quoted.

I know that the officer did not mean it in this way but ... if he thinks that was the first time beer ever took priority over a child, he is blind and ignorant. I have seen many children go hungry so their alchoholic family member could drink. People are getting sicker and sicker everyday.

You know is it just me or are some adults just getting dumber..A few Thanksgiven's ago, we had an article in the paper about a guy who was in a minor accident..Get this, he had the turkey strapped in the car seat, and the toddler just sittiing in the back...Fortunately the little one wasn't hurt, but if the accident had been worse, who knows what would have happened..Some idiot parents actually think they're being funny when in fact they shouldn't have kids in the first place.......

Maybe his kid drove him to drink so this was just a way of showing he didn't like the kid as much as he loved his mind numbing beer.

Seriously though, why take his kid along if there wasn't room to strap him in the car?

I don't see the strangeness in it. I'm pretty sure it's just that the father didn't want the beer to fall all over the place in the car while driving. He probably didn't expect to crash so he didn't think much of it endangering the child, and I bet the kid never wore a seatbelt anyway.
