Bout time the vatican gives permission...

But as I wrote earlier in this thread the Roman Catholic Church had already "give[n] permission" (if permission was even necessary) by my parochial grade school days more than 50 years ago.

Rebel, even if Christian theology is incorrect I don't see why the discovery of extraterrestrial life would force changes upon it.

dontgetit.gif ...Personally, I think it's mighty interesting to read this snippet from the article linked:

The second incident involved a visit to the Vatican of an individual who I believe, both through my own research, as well as having been given strong confirmation in communication from my own space contacts, that this was another very authentic fellow “contactee” who also had many contacts, just as I have. These very same type of benevolent and spiritually evolved human appearing E.T.’s (referred to as the “Space Brothers [a term of respect], were also the same type of E.T.’s who landed at Edward’s Air Force Base). This individual known as George Adamski, actually met with Pope John XXIII, at the Vatican, on May 31, 1963, a few days before the Pope’s death, and actually gave the Pope a “sealed package” given to him from his space contacts to be given specifically to the Pope.

One wonders, who was actually permitted to meet with Pope John XXIII on May 31, 1963?
At that date, he was on his deathbed, having developed severe peritonitis due to internal infection from the raging stomach cancer he had. He had suffered severe stomach hemorhages. As of that day, he was dying full out...had received blood transfusions, and was essentially gone, accompanied only by Petrus Canisius J. van Lierde, O.S.A., Vicar General of the Vatican State, who annointed the Pope with the last rights of the Church and who heard the Pope's last words...sometime around 11 am that day.

Doesn't it seem rather odd that in the midst of this reverent and somewhat dismal moment, when Pope John was indeed dying, and when no one, save his closest associates would've been permitted anywhere near the chambers of the Pope, let alone the Papal palace itself, that some UFO nut from America would be entertained in his death chamber????

Ah, we stretch here...just a wee bit.

VATICAN CITY — There could be alien life forms and believing they exist isn't contradictory to faith in God, the top astronomer at the Vatican said in an interview published Tuesday.

In the Vatican newspaper piece, titled "The Extraterrestrial Is My Brother," the Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes said the expansiveness of the universe means there could be life on planets other than Earth.

I think this is wonderful, and there could be a message to read between the lines here are they prepairing us for something?

I agree - it's beautiful to see that these primitive people in the Church are finally waking up. I don't think they're preparing us for anything, but that they've just caught up with the times.

Do we realise how big this is? The Catholic Church actually stating, in faith, that it's okay to believe in aliens. This would have been unheard of 20 year ago!

The thing they don't realise it that the Church they've built is actually built upon an extra-terrestrial foundation. I'm a part of a worldwide group that believe aliens were mistaken for gods and that they educated the prophets to teach us love and peace. Jesus's dad was one of these people from space. Does this sound so stupid now when we consider that the Catholic Church are open to the idea of aliens?
