Conclusion: The one known as Sera requires no sleep, only an endless stream of bad guys to kill...also, Payne is damn cool.


Good game...not quite as much a tearjerker of an ending as FFX had...granted, I did get the good ending, so it ended on a slightly happier note *is gonna start playing "new game plus" mode, which allows her to start with all her dress spheres, abilities, and items from the very beginning, just to beat some folk up*

Oh well, once more unto the breach...*goes to start all over again*

FFX-2 is awesome game completed 57% stats 72 above sequences amazin as always lol the game is a masterpiece, still havent found paines special dress sphere though

gotta say seraphina washu may be cute but tenchi got the moves lol. Funny thing is bout rikku's sword its exactly like my own woohoo.

How long is it compared to FF7? I haven't got the priviledge of a PS2, yet i am considering getting one to play the newer FF games.

Hrmmm......compared to FF7 which would you think has the better story line? I like a game that ties together...without huge plot holes you could fit a battleship through (much like the anime, detonater orgun (*shudders*)). Grandia 2 had amazing gameplay yet the story was a little thin....and towards the end when you thought you had completed it....it would carry on.

hmm...If you play FFX-2 through without the sidequests, the conclusion will confuse you like heck, no doubt about it I found myself frequently saying "okay...so what the hell is the conection between these guys...and why are they here again? "

The important threads do come together though...even if there are a few loose ends. Completing the sidequests lets you found out the full story, and in fact, that's one of the game's attractions...you have to discover the whole truth for yourself, rather than having it fed to you; if you're privy to certain information, in game scenes will change to reflect this.

As for FFX...yeah, it's story made sense. I did wonder about a couple of things, but they sorted themselves out just fine after you think about it a bit

I hope it retains the quirky Squaresoft humor....o_o;;

lol, yes...as I say, it's directed like an anime, so there's plenty of humour along the way; the main plot usually remains serious enough (although Rikku and Paine provide great comic relief at points) but the sidequests can be downright hilarious.

Just to let everyone know, I located a DVD of the FFX-2 game that has nothing but the CGI clips - 90 minutes from the game. Even if you play through the game 5 times over, you will never see each and every CGI clip produced. If you enjoy the FFX-2 game, I would recommend you search around for this and pick it up.

gotta say though the singing is kinda good compared to cheesy tunes in the past.
cgi in the game is awesome as always, yet the whole brother/yunie thing is disturbing they are cousins and he is the biggest perv alive lol. yet i still wanna know the full convo between brother and cid my al bed is rusty and all i can make out is its your fault blah blah blah ....... anyone got any ideas so far.

Haven't played FF8 or 9 o_o....

You're not missing much with FF9....it's a good game, but not a great one. In fact, it was a big disapointment for most fans, who expected something of the usual extremely high FF quality.

FF8 is one of those 'must have' games though...it's not as enjoyable as FF7, but it still kicks a great deal of booty. I'd recomend you play it before FFX though...FFX really does blow it out of the water, and you might feel it a big lacklustre by comparison

The problem is of course trying to find 8 and 9. there are 5 games stores in the area, none of them stock any FF games except PS2 games >_<!

That's odd...FF7 and FF8 have been on the sony budget label for ages...

suggestion: Ask one of your stores to order you a copy, or get a hold of a game magazine that takes orders. It's not hard to find a cheap copy of FF7 or 8 nowadays, they've both been platinum for a while (at least I'm pretty sure 8 is platinum by now).

I got 7 and 6 and tactics....o_o;; everytime i want 8 or 9 they never have it. And Game insists that they "don't order" bah, i'm thinking of rallying a angry mob to torch and loot the store.

as with my namesake cloud and squall are the best zidane (who knows what they were thinking) plus both characters were way cool and weaponry in swords was great.

the ff games are distributed everywhere near where i live its the most popular selling rpg around and it keeps gettin better sept 9 of course

Try some privately owned stores, rather than chain ones...they might be more accomidating.

anyway what i was gettin at with the real tidus is this gimp in ffx-2 who couldnt take rejection and had to go off and blow up the world or at least try twice !!

the guys gonna blow up the world and all yuna is interested in is sayin i love you yep real cool

the fact this guy was alive when tidus was in the time of the war and looks sounds and acts like the gimp doesnt make the plot easy to understand

I'm pretty sure that Sa...S...damn it I've gotten his name...we'll call him Gimp #2 just looked like Tidus for one of those convenient coincidences that make the plot work

I liked ff7's story more , and FFX had some corny voice acting at certain times .

lol, where there's voice acting, there's bound to be corniness....but overall, the VAs were pretty good (the main characters at least), and it added a certain layer to the gaming experience...good decision I think, and saved me the trouble of what I normally have to do...

*coughs*....Usually I...uh...dub the FF games myself...*coughs*...I'll have you know I make a very convincing Sephiroth Weird as that is

um...no I used to just VA for the characters as I went along, providing there were other people watching me play; I'm not a bad VA actually, so put on a bit of a performance If there went, I just played the voices out in my head...which was much better than just flatly reading the text on screen.

I certainly don't have enough patience, or for that matter tapes, to record every single scene, and play them back...that would be even more insane than I'm willing to be

FF6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2...I've got the others, but they're too dated to grab my attention for that long The Sera one is a creature of refined tastes.

You could get it as a rom file off of the internet . ( just search for Final fantasy 3 [u] ) and then get Zsnes from www.zsnes.com quite easily ... not that Im promoting anything ... hint hint ...

Well....now I've completed the game again with 97% completed...and I was certainly wrong about the "huh? " factor...if you take the time to play through it (it's not difficult...all you really need to do is make sure you visit all the areas at the start of each chapter, instead of just the hotspots) then everything is made pretty clear to you.

When I did the whole thing, it took about 30 hours to complete, which is about the length of time it took me to finish FF7 the first time round. It's not as short as I thought. I've still not warmed up to it enough to call it better than FFX though, gimpish as Tidus was

FFX-2 was fun at first, but really it sucked ass compared to FFX. The whole things just felt, well, silly and kind of like a joke. Oh well.

I thought so too, I like 10 way better...
