What is the object in this photo?

linked-image

The picture is a freeze frame from a program produced by Walt Disney World to coincide with the opening of an exhibit called The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. The program can be seen here:

The object is shown at 13:44 into the video.

I thought it might be from an old Disney movie. huh.gif

EDIT

Here's a clearer picture.

Could be a swimming pool, or an alien starship, or the world's largest saltine cracker. It's a pretty terrible photo.

Looks like the roof of something, or the bottom of a boat. Everything but a UFO
Cyaneyed
Looks a bit like the Avro car?

^ It does look like one, but I highly doubt that it is.

It looks like a tarp of some sort. It could be anything that has a circular shape.

Looking at the clip, it's 'saucer-shaped', made of some thin rigid substance and has at least one frame member with lightening holes in it. It's also pretty well chewed up. What's really strange is that all those guys horsing the thing around are wearing what look like suits with the jackets removed.

Well, if it's something for Disney World for an attraction known as "ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter", then it's a safe bet that whatever it is is a prop.

I think they actually got rid of that attraction a few years ago though because it was too scary for some people, especially kids.

If it's what I think it is, I actually been at it once. It was kinda neat, but I could definately see why some people would complain afterwards if they weren't prepared for what it actually was.

'Disney', kinda says it all...
