I didn't say to validate evidence... I meant they have used the crew tapes to back up their personal experiences. I don't think they have ever used the crew's tapes to reveal EVP's or anything strange they might of gotten. There were a couple of episodes in season 4 where they only used the tapes for backing up personal experiences. I think its only used to time stamp things.

To be totally honest, I am not impressed with their so called "evidence." I also dont care for their approach, or the drama, and jumping from room to room quickly. They couldnt find ONE bit of evidence last night at I think it was the jail. All they did was high 5 each other for debunking. I disagreed with the fact a girl was in a room for like 4 hours and could NOT open the door to get out. They blamed swelling due to humidity, but they had no clue when that event took place. If it wasnt summer then why was she stuck in there totally horrified? They just jump to conclusions, like flushing toilets and stomping on a floor cause glasses to shake. What person STOMPS on a bathroom floor. They take pride in debunking, and not that anyone cares, but I am SO not impressed. The figured out how a bar stool bounced when it fell, but never investigated WHY it fell or was pushed. I have no idea why some think they are the best thing since peanut butter. They are plumbers with equipment that go to locations, stay awhile, go over evidence and I have seen Jay shoot down some good stuff. Then they go to a true haunted location and say they didnt find anything. Personal experiences happen every day to a lot of us, but we cant prove it, so what good is it for the client? JMO..JN

Did anyone notice last night’s episode when Kris and the new guy were wearing the costumes on stage? If that would have been an early episode Brian he would have got kicked out of TAPS for a month for that.

Why do I agree.

I would hate to find out that some of their evidence was fake...that totally sucks...but i haven't been watching them lately because I don't like them anymore.

So you say investigators should go in believing every sound, every little thing is paranormal? Got it.

Debunking is a BIG PIECE of investigating....what is so hard to understand about that?

The point of recreating something regardless of the methods is the point that IT CAN BE RECREATED. If it can be recreated, how can that be evidence?

To be honest, I wouldn't think you WOULD be impressed. You want evidence, you want that entertainment aspect, you want demons to appear and chuck rocks at clients.

People don't think they are the best thing since peanut butter, they just like their approach of disproving. I think it is rather foolish to go in LOOKING FOR GHOSTS. Needless to say those groups are laughable at best.

As far as plumbers with equipment? What do you suggest paranormal investigators be? Doctors? Lawyers? Porno stars? Paranormal Investigators are your average everyday people from all walks of life.

Why can't people understand about the concept of the show Ghost Hunters? It shows a ghost hunter from all angles, life and in the field.

I'd rather them be plumbers and doing what they are doing than someone sitting on a couch complaining they aren't impressed and then take random photos of the TV and expect us to be impressed of the reflection.

Jn, how can you possibly denounce TAPS- and give credit to PRS? Totally absurd.
What drama with Taps, and jumping from room to room? No more jumping around than the clowns on PRS..
As far as the humidity thing, it is possible that humidity could do such a thing, that's being logical, a possible explanation to the door sticking.. Is it better to assume it's a spook doing the jamming of the door? Does that give more credibility in validating the paranormal? Or does weeding out possible causes first?
Because they are plumbers doesn't give them any less credibility.. why even bring their day jobs up..

I am entitled to my opinion Sunni, and the reason I bring up their day jobs is due to the fact, they show them in front of the RotoRooter van, and they get calls when doing their plumbing jobs. The major drama surrounds Brian, and it gets so old and unprofessional. I believe they should cut those clips out, and stick to the investigation, JMO..I am satisfied that they dont tell the clients "we are here to disprove your claims." That was a smart move on their part. High fiving is great IF you get evidence, but not when debunking. I happen to enjoy all the paranormal shows. PRS crew are put down constantly because they are college students, so its equal with plumbers. I dont agree with PS for the most part, due to religion, wiccan etc. I just feel Sunni that its MY opinion and I wont change it, till they become more professional and investigate without going in, just waiting to debunk instead of being open minded to all possibilites. I really like Grant, and Steve. They are level headed, and look at both sides, but Jay calls the shots and I dont think he is always right, nor should he be idolized for his work..JMO..JN

I wish Jay would shoot down more evidence that seems a little shakey; I love it when they debunk stuff. I would rather they debunk claims rather then accept false evidence, which I feel like they are doing more and more. Last nights show was beyond dissapointing it kinda of reminded me of a more professional most haunted.

My sister brought up a point last night.
She said that some of the EVP's they get, don't sound like anybody talking.
She doesn't understand how they got a sentence or a word out of it.
Since I have TiVo, I kept rewinding it, and I agree with her.

Now, I'm still think they don't purposely fake evidence, but this thing
with the EVP's has got me confused... hmm.gif

My point was , no company ( especially in the U.S. ) sends out and pays more people than needed to do a job...A plumber ( residential ) is solo...You can not make much money splitting a 1 person job with 2 people....

You are correct, because as I said, my son worked for Roto Rooter in CT for two years. He was an apprentice not a licensed plumber, and you dont have to be, to work for them. THey do NOT install bathrooms, they do NOT clean out the main lines etc. They fix toilets, fixtures on sinks, leaks in kitchen and bathrooms, and they dont even put in PVC pipes, because they have to be a licensed plumber to do that, as well as gas water heaters, and anything that involves heating. My son worked alone, and got paid by the job. Most Roto Rooter employees are not licensed plumbers, because the pros work for large companies or open their own business..It does not take two men to fix a toilet or faucet..JN

RR is run as a frasnchise. Each RR shop is independental owned and operated. I suspect Jason owns their franchise (just a guess). So more or less they work when and how they want to (with in the terms of the franchise agreement - contract - of course).

However, I agree to an extent. I think some of those scenes are staged. They always seem to be working in the cleanest, prettiest places and that's not the life of a plumber! wink2.gif

LOL I agree!! I am not sure they are franchises in Rhode Island, they arent in CT or Mass..JN

If I was Brian I would tell them to…, well you know!!!!

They are sooo rude to him, they treat him like a little kid, and I know Brian has screwed up lots of times but the way they do him is absolutely degrading. When someone else does something that isn’t liked they get a little slap on the wrist but if Brian does anything they are literally in his face yelling at him.

Brian needs to grow a pair. It’s almost too painful to watch.

I disagree, he is a moron. He has cost them alot of money, lies and has personal issues like drinking..He has no credibility for all he does is "See shadows" yet nothing is ever validated. The one thing that turned me off was when they were in a home, attempting to have a child show herself. Brian said "In the name of Jesus Christ I DEMAND you show yourself, and you are screwing with the wrong guy." I was so disgusted, that was it for me. Whats he going to do, beat up a spirit? UGH..JN

My question to you is WHY do you keep bringing Brian in the mix? He isn't apart of TAPS anymore. There is NO drama other than behind the scenes in their personal life. Beating a dead horse with the Brian thing.

Please tell me that you just now realized that THAT PART is scripted? Parts of the show is scripted why? Because it is a SHOW. Them getting calls and them showing up to a clients house is all scripted. If you notice when they approach each house the client is already cued for sound....(check the lowerback). To think everything is AS YOU SEE IT is rather....well, wishful thinking?

Why not give high fives for debunking? I mean seriously I am curious as to why debunking is so damn bad? I think a client WOULD RATHER hear that something what disproved than saying..oh by the way, you have a demon playing tetherball in your basement.

Again, you are revolving around evidence with the statements.

How are they not being professional by disproving claims of paranormal activity? In my opinion you are showing your lack of knowledge or you WANTING PROOF that you see that being unprofessional. Hate to see what you consider professional. Dowsing rods? Ouija boards? Tarot Cards? Mimes? Midgets doing backflips?

Seriously? Do you think PRS are professional in their approach? I really hope you think hard about that...but thats my opinion....

I'm not asking you to change your opinion.. I was wanting to understand your opinion.
I favor the underdog, and Brian (bless his heart) was the underdog. I thought he brought character to the program.
I don't see the issue with PRS being students, but more or less the program itself, and how they leave you left hanging to dry at the end of their show among other things..
TAPS is ran more professionally than any of the other paranormal programs.. regardless the misfit(s) in their group. It's how they go about their investigations is why I say this...

I understand Hun, and normally I feel for the underdog too, but listening to Jay, Grant and Steve about things he's done, he has or had to go. There are times he appears to be very serious and dedicated, but other times he whines, complains and rants and raves instead of ghost hunting. As I said I like all the shows, and also A Haunting, its just that some are more interesting to me, than others. But I watch TAPS even tho its not my favorite..I do hope they dont fake anything in the new season..Who is that Asian man that was with Kris last night? JN

As much drama he brought to the show, he did bring a lot more sense of humor to the show. The sense of humor has run dry a little without Brian. I agree with Shankpin. He did bring personality. Steve tries to be funny, but it isn't the same. Jay and Grant both said at the comic con that they wish they would insert more humor to the show. They said a lot of humor is cut out. But then again, the show isn't really about joking around. Too much humor is not good for a paranormal show who wants to be taken seriously.

like when PRS (assumed) the girl could've been possessed, placed a cross under her bed to see if she went into fits of rage... Honestly, I don't even know where to begin on that one. Professional, not quite. It changed from her not being demonic afterall, but to her being a "medium."

Well, there's nothing wrong (imo) with a program giving each of its members personality. Its' actually a smart move to want your viewers to be close to the groups members.. to do this, you'd have to give them personality or each it's own character... (except for those that play with my little ponies of course). but that's another argument entirely.

Exactly..Its good to have a balance with investigators. Also I have a question. I watched the show and reruns last night, because I have not watched the show that long. They used the infra red and noticed some red images on a sofa. NOW they all have Nextels or walkie talkies, but as they were loading up the truck, Jay asked Donna if she sat on the sofa and she said yes. Why didnt he ask her during the investigation, as opposed to wasting time discussing it, and looking at it? Just curious..JN

Yes there was a bunch of reruns, that I never saw. Ok I have an idea..They should combine a few people from every paranormal show, and call it "PUTRID PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS."

1-They could use Brian, who seems to be the only one who sees shadow people. How nice we could hear him say "Dude, what the <expletive> is that, Dude did you see that shadow, its over there, ohh its gone now Dude"

2-Tango- Could use the EMF detector. He could walk around saying ".05 1.0 02. 2.0 "OMG I have to tell Jay."

3-Grant loves to be alone in a room so they could sit him down and just leave him there and he can nap if he wants.

4-Then they could hire David Wells as a medium and kick Chip to the gay curb.

5-Of course Kris would have to be there, cause the guys think shes hot, dumb but hot

6-Karl from Most Haunted, only cause hes handsome and loves challenges.

7-Steve could be the lookout for spiders, bugs, bats, airplanes and other insects and rodents..and could run like a little girl.

8-Then they could place Jay in every bathroom or kitchen and basement, to check plumbing and repair if need be.

9-Lets throw Ryan in there, cause he is cute and the girls love him. He could walk around waiting to see if his Demon is following him.

10-We cannot leave out Lorraine Warren who is secretly having an affair with Serge. They can work together checking out all the toys and kids.

11-For kicks and giggles why not let Derek Acorah become possessed, and beat the crap out of his co workers?

12-Donna would be exclusive, because every negative or Demonic is after her, and she often feels sick to her stomache.

13-Andy could run around in a dainty fashion just looking for a personal experience. (which he never finds)

14-I think the perfect EVP person would be Robb, cause he is SO boring, and stiff, he wouldnt have to talk.

14-I think the perfect host for this show should be Britney Spears..

Problem solved..

LMAO! Kick chip to the gay curb LOL! oh man. Yep Steve needs to warn the people of the killer weeds! LOL Hard to believe steve was a cop once. But why RyRy? So he can do his captin Kirk diologs?

Ryan is NOT cute... the dude is cross eyed. Makes me think of a duck.

and Brian isn't the only one who saw shadow folks.. They've all seen them at one time or another.

Lorraine Warren having an affair with SERGE Beaver .. that is waaaay too disturbing to visualize..

LOL...RUN DUDE RUN..Captain Kirk? LOL...Lets face it, they are all a bunch of jokers, and what would we talk about if those shows didnt exist. What about that ugly Wiccan on PS..Man her face could stop a train whew. That could be her job LOL..Stopping moving vehicles..

Mrs. Warren and Serg the beaver? EEEEWWwwwwwww. Oh man i need to bleach my brain!
Yugure
I believe in some things they find

but I also believe, to add interest, that the scifi channel might make them fake things. (or the places that are being shown, to draw in customers if they say its haunted)

Edit:

My mom was watching the show with me once, she said that she totally wants to pull a "PUNK'd" on TAPS. have sh** that moves in closets/bangs on walls, pre-recorded children laughing, mirrors in hidden spots to make shadows/light balls, special vents to make "hot spots" LOL
