And I agree w/ everything you said. I believe a lot of the hardcore Fallout fans share the same lament about the differences between 1 and 2. 3's graphics have changed a lot, plus there will be a version for the 360 so I imagine the playing experience will change a lot in that respect. Luckily my bf has one of them 360 thingies
The unfortunate thing is that you can never have another Fallout 1. Because it's been done. You have to do something fresh and new, but Fallout 1 was inforgettable.
I got into the game when I was in grade 6 and was obsessed, and played until the CD was implayable and prone to skips and bug-like screw-ups. I recently downloaded 2 which I like because you can keep playing after you beat it. Hopefully 3 will have that option.
Edit: I should add I love 1 so many more times then 2. 2 has too many lame pop culture references. Which I mean was okay because I understood all of them, but it still takes away from the original atmosphere.
