I see the board seems to be a bit boring, discussing TAPS or Ouijas, so was trying to think of something new during this long weekend, as most of us will be on and off..How about we post a photo that WE took, at any location. It can be on a ghost hunt, pic of a room, a pet, anything at all. Once we find the right photo we can post it, and have others give their opinions of whether it appears to be paranormal, or might be, or its matrixing. That ought to keep us busy LOL..JN

I know a little bit. I do know its close to a 300 year Victorian. Initially it was a home for borders, and one named John remains here, he is grounded, and my protector. I know this house has been in my EX's family since the 50's..I was told John died here as did another male, but all and all thats all I know to date..I told my ex DONT renovate whatever you do, even tho it needs it..JN

Hey, Yes its the 3rd floor. In the 50's this was an attic, but was made into a comfy apartment. We all know about the infamous tubroom ick..Its clean and nice now..Do you see anything odd in the pic Hun? Post a pic dammit LOL...JN

I agree with JN, i think they were murdered. Is it possible that their deaths were linked or something? It sorta comes across they were pretty close, and i also get the feeling they didn't know they were being killed, like they were not concious at the time? Eh, its just what the photos say

I may be right off the mark here but i get a sense of something not quite right with these kids. Rather than them being murdered i feel they maybe did something evil. Just that when i saw the pics it gave me a horrible feeling and i didnt want to look to close at their faces.

Now this isn't my picture...but it's really cool to look at nonetheless. From the persons description, there is no explanation for what's in the window.

Two of these are the Moore children, two in middle are the Stillinger sisters. There are actually two more sibling victims of the Moores,' but the pics weren't good quality at all, so I didn't post them.
They were ALL (including the two Moore children not shown, and both parents) axed to death in their sleep --that's 8 victims total- the children's ages were 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, & 12 years old--In the now infamous "Villisca ax murder house." This case has never been solved. This occurred in 1912, Villisca Iowa. An extremely tragic case.

btw, Lord Storm, the two Stillinger sisters (in the middle) are the two specifically known to haunt the upper bedroom frequently.. Many unsettling EVPs' have captured bits of conversation between these two specifically playing with the closet door in the bedroom, even entertaining the baby, Paul (not shown) and other things..

I agree, JN. I've wondered that myself.. I think* it boils down to the mere fact that the haunting of this house is so blatant that folks are too caught up in capturing of the haunting itself rather than trying to move them on.

Thats SO wrong..My heart sunk when she said "he's going to hurt us." They knew, and that makes it even more disgusting, and painful. If that horrific multiple murders happened lets say 1999, and the house was now haunted by these little girls, stuck there, I would bet no one would believe it and want more proof, kinda like Amity..But lets not get into that LOL. As far as Amity is concerned (you brought it up- ) there has been one photograph that captured something unexplained. However, in this case, you should see them all. Not to mention the evps.. like I said, this haunting is too right in your face, can't be over- looked so easily..at least I don't think so. I totally agree with you though, these people are not at rest.. and it's terribly terribly sad. I certainly will and have prayed for them. May God rest their souls.

Hey guys, I am going back to view and check other posts and pictures, but I decided to go take some new digital ones of my living room, considering I had pictures of that and various interesting experiences in that room before and it has been mentioned here. Well, I went and grabbed my digital camera and went into my living room, with the curtains in the front closed. It's still daylight out, just to give you a heads up. My dog, the on the ball barker at nothing is now lieing down in the foyer, peaceful as can be. Well, I took two pictures, thinking I will take more. I clicked one, and as I clicked another about a couple of seconds later, something occured during the taking of the first one. As the flash went off, it reflected off something in front of me, about a foot, when there is actually nothing there. Maybe there isn't, and it's an amazing amount of dust floating around. That I can dig, because for some reason, that room gets really dusty, very quickly after I dust it. Anyways, I saw the reflected flash, and didn't see it during the second flash. Looking at my pictures, both of them, I see something interesting in the first one. What do you guys think?

Is that a painting of some kind? I ask, because you titled your picture lady on the wall. Or do you see a lady on the wall? I see a face myself, and I think I see a ripcage below it, even after I did a little messing around with some programs of mine. I have no idea about the blackness either.

It is an interesting case. I get two scenarios for the events when I read the reports on the site, and then later, hear the evps, for one thing. Then the description of the crime scene itself, tells one tale about the type of killer it was, but then there are glaring deviations that point another direction.

We'll never know, now, but I think there was more than one killer there. One of them (at least) knew them quite well. It crosses my mind to wonder if this was a copycat crime, a murder deliberately made to resemble the crime scenes of the other axe killings going on about that time. It would require that one of them knew the details of those other scenes.

Mind you, if those scenes were as sloppily handled as this one, that could be any of hundreds . Plus the way the media was blazing every bit of rumor as fast as facts, it is a mess.

Anyway, this is why I didn't reply to your pics, Sunni. I recognized the kids . We had a huge thread or two on this within the past year I think and that is how I heard of it and got interested.

But, here are some wonderings of mine about it, if JN doesn't mind? I'm not trying to hijack this off photos in general . I'll revise this into a new topic if you prefer, but I only mean to talk about these a bit more. What if those kids enjoy being left in peace there and playing on their own? Why do we assume they need to be run off into the light? Are we hurting them by coming in and asking stuff about their deaths all the time? Maybe they don't think about it a whole lot, and just play, otherwise. My last wondering was, where are their parents? I can't recall ever hearing of EVPs or signs of them. Has anyone else found any?

Yep NS, it is a very interesting case. I have wished many times to view what photos were taken of this crime scene to gather my own conclusions-- To share my thoughts on this one from what information is out there, I'm tending to believe that the father (Moore) was connected somehow to this offender. Not saying he had anything per say to do with the crime itself, but rather, someone knew him and set out to retaliate for whatever reason. I'm thinking a transient, not pro by no means, who was found inside town passing through & was offered a substantial deal to do this crime.
This murderer was close enough to the family to know their schedule on Sundays, but wasn't aware of the lay out of the house. I say this because there were signs of him in disarray...Joseph Moore had enemies in the right places, from what I've gathered.
I tend to think there was one offender here. He hid in a closet or somewhere on the upper floor until they got home and settled down that night (apparently around 9:00- 11:00 pm) waiting on Mr. and Mrs Moore to fall asleep.
Very disorganized. This is apparent in the weapon he used, and how he obtained it, among other things.
There were ritual signs there I found bizarre.. in which the offender covered the mirrors and the lanterns during this crime.
As far as these spooks being at peace in that house. I don't see it. One, that wasn't the Stillinger's home, second it couldn't be a peaceful thing to consistently talk about your murderer being in that house.. I mention those two specific because on some of the EVPs it's clear to me it's those two being recorded..

I like the older photos myself because back in the old days, they didn't have the ways of being able to fake them like they do now.
