I searched back over a year and was surprised I didn't find a topic on this. Plenty of favorite guitarists threads, but no favorite singers thread!
Well, here it is.

Please tell us all who your favorite singers are, and if you like, maybe provide a youtube/myspace link or some such thing so we can hear them sing. original.gif

I'll go first. And as could be expected if you've read some of my other posts in this forum, I'll provide youtube links:

...Kaya - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQDa5En2CdU
...Kamijo - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEQ2Gv6HWR4
...Juka - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62CWlNCZYdo (If you say he sounds like Gackt, I will wish death upon you.)
...Jui - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04wvCsI_a7Y
...Kaito - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPoWHTlVmFw

Those are my personal top five singers. I'm lucky I could find them all live!

Jennifer Saunders!!!!!!!!
She's a multitalent, many of you probably know her from the TV show Absolutely Fabulous, she's a comedian, actress, writer.
She lent her voice to the Fairy Godmother in Shrek2 and sang "I need a hero", and that woman's got some pipes!

I thought so, Silver Dagger truly is a brilliant song.

My eyes tear most times I listen to her. Her voice is so powerful. I love to see/listen to her w/ Dylan. I adore the folk movement.

Also, I should mention, the vocalist for the Small Faces had a brilliant voice. Everyone should listen to Afterglow (of your love). Very commanding. But then again, hippy-psychedlic doesn't seem to be popular in here.
