Cold.
So me and my dad just got home about fifteen minutes ago from seeing Indiana Jones 4, and I have to say... it was absolutely stunning. Especially in the end, where the rubble is revolving in that huge cyclone, and around the beginning... when the huge nuclear explosion had taken place. That mushroom cloud was absolutely stunning. Great story, great acting for the most part... overall, great movie. 9.5/10

Anybody else see it and agree?

I thought it was OK but not as good as the first movie. The plot was confusing.
(Involves Area 51, nuclear blasts, Nazca lines, Russian communists, psychic powers, swordfighting in a car chase, etc.)

Good but unrealistic beginning. Middle section a bit dull. Ending OK (if you like UFO's).

After Indy and his friends crawl out of a tunnel full of water, watch where a few seconds later - Indy is completely dry!

My advise is to just enjoy the special effects and leave your brain outside.

Sincerely,
Raider of the Lost Refrigerator

I liked it, personally. There are going to be two more. wink2.gif

Went and saw it this weekend with my family.
I thought Harrison Ford did an awesome job acting in the movie.
And he still looks good without his shirt on! grin2.gif

But, what me and my family thought was, Indy
explores ancient mysteries, not UFO's. That's Mulders job. Right?
Overall, it was pretty good.

I liked Indy 4 and thought it kept the same spirit the other 3 had.

Those b****ing about the alien aspect to the movie and how unrealistic it is, like seriously folks? Is it any more unrealistic then finding the holy grail or the lost ark?

I've seen this movie 3 times since last Wednesday . I'm pretty tired of it already to be honest. But I loved it. The story is not that hard to understand (especially after watching it 3 times). And I agree with AG...why are aliens too far-fetched to have a plot about but religion and magic aren't? The story was actually pretty good. People's complaints about this movie are just rediculous.
Sure, it has some really over-the-top moments, but this film is pure entertainment and it did a great job of brining back the feeling of the old ones.

I tried telling that to a friend of mine who saw it - how is ripping a still beating heart from a chest with nothing but a person's hands, going through rib-cage and all, realistic?

For the record, I ahven't seen it yet and I'm taking a gamble by "plot spoilers" by reading this thread, but I get a feeling that there's nothing too plot-like about it anyway tongue.gif At least, nothing I couldn't guess already.

lol true enough. I thought the movie was great. It explores the concepts of alternative history, i.e. that greater beings influenced the early civilizations, so I thought that was a good concept right out of the gates. Highly entertaining overall. Last Crusade was my fave cuz I thought sean connery and ford were awesome together, but this one fits in nicely. His son was cool too.

I Have seen all the Indiana Jones movies and thoroughly enjoyed all of them, the closest thing in recent years to the saturday morning cinema of my childhood (no it wasn't a magic lantern show cheeky!)

However for me the funniest bit of this movie is the Stunt Man pretending to be Harrison ford on the back of the motorbike, the build is wrong , the carriage is wrong and the Grey wig looks like something Indy should be searching for not wearing - no wonder he always wears a hat! laugh.gif

Also belief is stretched a bit by the use of a refrigerator as an impromptu nuclear blast shelter. oops sorry if I've spoiled it for you! innocent.gif

Still good escapist fun thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

I personally loved it. I didn't want to admit it to my parents. It was my first Indania Jones movie in a movie theathre! <3 I love the chase scene and the teacher asks him something about homework? XD The ending was okay.

I think the hat was a little symbolic.

My stepmom kept saying that he was holding that skull. Like it was a toy dog.

XD
Phase 3
I’ve seen Indiana Jones IV 3 times, the first time I hated it 100% with the aliens and UFO’s. When I got home I started to think was it really that bad? I mean if you think about it, it’s just as fun and corny as the other ones. For instance Raiders of the Lost Ark Indy and Marion escape supernatural destruction by simply closing there eyes, Temple of Doom and the Shankara Stones with magical properties and finally the Holy Grail which has supernatural healing and magical properties as well. So it is actually not that far fetched for an Indiana Jones movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, take my advice when you watch it don’t expect an amazing story line just expect well an Indiana Jones movie.

I personally enjoyed it. I thought the nuclear blast was cool, also Indy riding the afterburner.
