Members of a supernatural investigations team camped out at the Great House at Westgate, Elland, to hunt out the source of unexplained happenings.Licensee Neil Monk-man and his wife, Cassandra, 39, only took over the pub earlier this month and have already experienced spooky goings-on."It was very strange," said Mr Monkman, 34. "They said they found seven ghosts. "One was a 20-year-old pregnant girl murdered with an axe."Parts of the pub, formerly The Fleece, date back to around 1600. In the 1800s a murder is said to have been committed there, leaving a blood stained handprint on a staircase.Since taking over the pub the couple said glasses had leapt off the bar and their doberman dog had behaved strangely. But the Monkmans are not keen to rid the pub of all its guests."I think it's quite interesting," said Mr Monkman. "We want to keep the pub haunted."
