Hairy creatures on two legs has been reported in Russia for time immoral. Contrary to the ridicule surrounding American Bigfoot, Almas is treated very serious by the Russian Academy of Science which aims to prove to a skeptic world, that these creatures is the missing link we so long have been waiting for.One can be suspicious of the Russians for many reasons, but they are more open than their colleagues in the west towards the possibility of unknown animals in general and the so called snowman in particular. Or "Almas" (wild man) as the Russians call them.These animals, or if they are predecessors of man, are often lost in myths and legends, even in Russia, but here I want to quote the Russian archeologist and Academy member Boris Rybakov, who say's:"There is a rather widespread but still totally wrong opinion that legends are fabricated and only meant to amuse us. In reality we barely have the time to study the work of oral tradition, before we discover deeply realistic and historical roots. It is also quite easy to find traces of evens that really took place".
