Yep, I had to shed a tear, (or two!) when I read this! I hope you enjoy it.

Nope not crying.....must be dust..in my eyes..yes that's it.

If someone really did that that is very sweet.

My my, how cynical I've become. I read that and thought immediatey "Oh, this is one of those sweet, heart-string pulling chain mail letters people send around for an Awww, but it's not true"

So me being me, I went out to Snopes to search for it... and I'll be danged... it IS TRUE!!

yep, someone at the dead letter office has a HUGE heart. How very sweet... really, I love it.

"she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven"
Awesome.

I read the Snopes article, and something struck me odd... the package was delivered on Labor Day. There's no postal service on Labor Day. It must have been someone at their local post office who did this incredibly kind thing, or the mailman himself. Someone had to deliver that package on their own time, not post office time.

Maybe the mailman I'm thinking... perhaps Abbey the dog was the only dog on his route that never tried to rip his leg off. LOL.
