I've had Mcaffe - eh. I've got Norton. not bad. but what else is there ? Something that scans faster , isn't a computer hog , and protects well.
now
eset smart security(antivirus/antispyware and firewall) is very light and the firewall does not nag at all under the default configuration, the antivirus is also pretty good
other firewalls - sygate,fortknox...both light and efficient
other antivirus software - avast,avg
Crovus v2.0
Definitely not Norton/Symantec. Those programs are very passive AV software. They'll wait until your computer's infected, then tell you about it. Then when it comes to virus removal, Norton 'asks the virus if it can delete it'. Pretty lame.

I just use McAfee anti-virus and firewall with Spyware Doctor. Between those 2 programs I haven't gotten a virus or spyware in years.

I dunno... Trend Micro is pretty good I guess.

I've never used anti-virus software on my computers except the ones that I use at work or on the work network because it's required. I'm not sure if what we use is even publically available. whatever it is, it seems to be easy on system resources, unobtrusive and effective I guess. I wouldn't really know... I've never had a virus. Or at least not one since the "Stoned" virus I got back in the DOS days.

I didn't even get Melissa. LOL.
