I don't understand why they say that the alien is powerful. It took so long to burn the woman up. Is that considered powerful? And if the woman is bring burnt up, why is she not running away?

The alien didn't intentionally kill her, she asked it for knowledge and she received more than she could cope.

Yeah, She wanted to know everything the alien knew, And as the alien knew loads she (her brain) couldn't handle it and she turned to dust.

I wish the alien woulda told me that Indy 4 was going to kinda suck. Sorry, everyone...I just didn't like it all that much. Maybe my expectations were too high going into it? I'll probably see it once more to refine my opinion.

No thats ok. Your not the only one to say that indy 4 lost standard. But me, I don't see difference. Cause the first indy I watched was indy 4.

As for the alien, I thought it had a murderous look in its eyes.

Most people that thought it was a bad movie had expectations for it to begin with, which is a huge mistake. I don't know why people thought this movie would be like Raiders part 2 or something. If you go into this movie with a more logical outlook, then you would probably enjoy it more. It's really an awesome movie, thought after seeing it 3 times in less than a week, I'm pretty sick of it.

And the ending is very similar to the ending of Raiders. Witnessing the power of God killed the nazis, and the knowledge of the aliens killed Spalko.

Yeah, I guess. I just don't know how it's possible to love the Indy franchise, then wait 19 years for a sequel and go in without expectations, ya know? I'm not saying it was totally crap. There were some good stuff in it. I guess I just came out of the movie and felt like, "After 19 years, that's the best they could come up with?"

But, like I said, that's just my opinion. I'll see it again sometime nonetheless.

Blame Lucas for choosing the script. It wasn't a terrible script by any means, but for an Indy movie, it could have been a lot better. I'm really interested to know what the script that Frank Darabont had wrote was like. Both Ford and Spielberg loved it, but Lucas rejected it for some reason. I definately have some problems with the movie. It wasn't perfect, but it was a fun ride and kept much of the same feel of the other ones.
