the brown recluse spider is something everyone should know about....the bite causes necrosis which is the flesh rotting off you in the area of the bite. everyone should know of this for the pure fact. i never thought it would happen to me ...fortunately i knew how to stop the posin because i heard about the hobo spider who has a similer effect.this spider is found in central and southern USA. THERE IS NO ANTI VENOM!!!! the way to stop this is with home remities or you can be like me and cut off the affected area...trust me it sucks eaither way. the scar is almost gobne but i saw one the other day when i was in Southern IL, and well people need to know

While stationed in Florida when I was in the navy many moons ago, I had a friend who was bitten on his back from a brown recluse in the barracks.
I don't know the treatment he got, but there was an actual hole in his back about an inch deep and probably as big around as a nickel or quarter where they dug out the infected area. It looked bad and he said it was quite painful. Obviously.
