Amazing discovery uses radio waves to heat salt water hot enough to power pistons.

Radio waves to kill cancer cells, most awesome.
Love the radio frequency generator,
at 1500ºc, a beautiful steam turbine engine yes.gif

Good clean energy, something the world really needs and this is a stepping stone to a clean future.

If that radio transmitter can be squeezed into a size suitable for a car.Only good can come of it,think NO POLLUTION. thumbsup.gif

It will never work. The energy needed to power the radio generator and break the water molecules apart far exceeds the energy created by burning the water.

A salt water powered car? As if that's even possible! And even if it is you've all heard about the killing of the inventor of the electrical car. The oil companies can lose everything if such a car is invented and sold to the public. I'm quite sure we won't see any cars running on alternative fuels pretty soon.

That's similar to what I was thinking: what powers the radio waves that heat the water? That's the inescapable catch to almost every alternative energy, the amount of fossil fuels needed to make the alternative energy is generally the same as just using those fossil fuels in your car/home.
