"Horse's rude name sparks ban

A racehorse has been renamed in Australia after officials realised it had an obscene name.

Aydee Fic developed a cult following due to his name which in Arabic means: '**** you', reports the Courier Mail.

Punters, mostly of Lebanese background, cheered and laughed as the two-year-old won on his debut at Toowoomba.

All racehorse names have to be approved by Racing Information Services Australia but officials didn't pick up on the cheeky name.

But they have now moved swiftly to insist the horse be renamed and it will in future be known as Journey On."
