It's not a movie but a Futurama episode where Fry's pooch (Seymour) waits for his return for years (until he died) in front of the pizzeria where he worked.
All done while Connie Frances' version of 'I will wait for you' plays. Very sad...
Man's best friend...
I remember that episode. God I was drowning in tears..

Hello forum goers. I was watching a few movies from my childhood and forgot about how much emotion was in them. I started to cry through some of the really happy/sad ones. I was wodering what movies provoked your water works.
Five particullar movies just make me cry each time i watch them.
1) Babe
2) My Girl
3) Titanic
4) Forest Gump
5) Origanal King Kong
So, get typing and tell me what movies made you cry??
1. The ending of The Wizard Of Oz (when I was a kid) when Toto jumped out of the hot air balloon.
2. Ghost
3. Braveheart (at the end when they were murdering/dismembering William Wallace).
4. Steel Magnolias (when Sally Field did her number at her daughter's funeral- after the funeral was over when she was questioning "why").

Finding Neverland...
Eight Below [I'm not one for any kind of animal death... always gets me for some reason >< ]
I don't usually cry during movies, but I do recall sitting in the theater, looking around to my group with tears on my face, watching them cry as well for Eight Below.

Has anyone seen Brideshead Revisited? Is it a sad movie? I love the period pieces and the clothes they wear so this is really the only movie playing that I really want to see now.

If you like homosexual-themed shows and can stand watching Jeremy Irons, by all means check it out. I have nothing against gay tv, but Jeremy? Yes, without a doubt. Just sold my copy online. Couldn't watch it.
I recommend to you the following British Period films that may, in fact, make you cry, instead:
Behind the Lines (1998)
The Black Velvet Gown
The Buccaneers (1995)
Jane Austen Collection
Miss Julie
The Tenant of Wildfell Hall
Tilly Trotter
David Copperfield (1969)

The Hours. anyone seen, liked it? There is something about this movie. Like, everything in it is relevant, important, every scene, every second. And beautiful, and sad.

I saw it years ago. brilliant.
if you like period pieces and ones a bit odd - Orlando with Tilda Swinton and Quentin Crisp as the queen of course . nothing to cry over , but visually stunning. great soundtrack there too.

Well...lol...I cry for almost anything and everything...even movies that are not meant to be sad. Here are just a few:
1) Lion King [Mufasa dies!]
2) Lion King 2 [They shun the poor tiger...I cannot remember his name]
3) Finding Nemo [Poor Marlin]
4) King Kong [THEY KILLED HIM!]
5) I Am Legend [Will Smith (don't remember the name used in the movie) was crying and lonely]
6) Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest [I REALLY thought that Jack Sparrow was dead!]
7) Titanic [meh, everyone cried]
8) Oliver and Company [Poor kitty was all alone in the beginning]
9) Forestt Gump [He was just a sad fella]
...That's all I can remember at the moment.
And about the Titanic song...Saddest song I have ever heard and cried too...Even my younger, MACHO brother has been listening to it recently hehe.
Never heard of Brideshead Revisited. Is it recommended?
