Okay, for one, my Weekend was strange enough. But this just kind of...made it weirder. I was bored so I went to my room, and I got to my bed around ...3:19 AM maybe? On Sunday, June 1st, 2008, which was a little while back. I laid down, and put in my earphones, and decided to listen to some Nine Black Alps to relax myself for the day ahead. I opened my eyes and paused the music because I heard something.

I then lied there stretching. Right then I heard whispers. I turned my head and from the light from outside going through my blinds onto my mirror closet, I saw a Shadow of a man sitting there in my chair, complete with hat. I was scared like hell, so I turned back around. I heard echoes of voices, kind of a sound of children and a woman altogether. I then played more music to drown it out, and saw movement within the shadows. Then, a few moments later after it ceased, I saw movement again. After some time ignoring whatever it was, I closed my eyes and fell asleep. Bah.

In which way do you think you were scared?
As in because you were taken off-guard, unexpected,
or was it issuing from 'shadow person'?

A combination of it being unexpected...and that it was there, looking at me.
Blind Atrocity
Did it happen about that time? Had you slept already? If you didn't sleep, it could have been an effect of fatigue.
nara
Maybe you were just half asleep?

It happened roughly a few minutes after I lied down. I didn't sleep, but I wasn't tired, I had about three Cokes. tongue.gif

@ Nara - Nope, as I said above....a lot of Coke. I was basically jamming out, like rolling around in bed, rocking my head and played a little air guitar with my eyes closed.

Around 3:00 AM is what me and a few friends call the 'Witching Hour.'
It's a little clique but weird things usually happen at around this time.

Three AM is the haunting hour, mhmm. The three stands for The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Jesus of Nazareth was supposedly crucified around Three o'clock PM, thus, the opposite of that...of course is Three o'clock AM. The time in which demons come out in mockery. tongue.gif

Sounds freaky, I'd stop drinking coke.

Sounds to me like some dreaming before you actually hit doze mode--

I severely doubt that mate.

The fact that you were drinking a stimulant (and three of them, to boot! original.gif ) automatically makes me suspect a disturbed sleep.

It is a known fact that caffeine can give you "sleep issues", not necessarily keeping you awake, but messing with the activity of your brain, giving you a restless sleep and occasionally fooling you into thinking you are awake, when you are, in fact, asleep.

Hope this helped. Must have been quite scary. However, if you were to tell us there were other things at play here, previous unusual activity in your house, I might think differently but you didn't so, I'd go with the above answer.

Interesting Drayno. Do you have any idea what the "whispering" was actually saying?

I say a dream that seemed absolutely real. I had that happen before combined with sleep paralysis when I was 20. It felt totally real. I actually halucinated due to lack of sleep. Scared the heck out of me.
