I've seen other people tell you it's a fake in other threads - why do you keep talking about it? WE KNOW it's a fake and have for some time now.

There is no REAL video! No one has any REAL video of alleged aliens.

What I didn't really understand is the fact that the article makes the claim that the video is a fake of a fake... but then never provides the original.

This is not to say that I think the Peckman video is real...

I can say anything I want nana na na na... all, you do is show up to say 'yep its fake' and when engaged you get mad...your pretty one sided if no one see's it your way its fake...

you never come with anything other than your famous last words "its fake" but why is it fake? why is everything "Fake" why ?

Your own article SAYS it's a fake (as in not the genuine video) - how hard is it to understand that it's not the ACTUAL video everyone is talking about and is still waiting to see? That's all I'm trying to say here. I think they're calling the original a fake due to past evidence against the guy - but who knows.

I have no solid opinion on the actual video, because WE HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET.

And YES, the current video IS A FAKE. The article explains who, how, and why it was made, or did you skip that part?

yea as a mattrer of fact you were the first response to say you knew along (sound familar) I never said it was fake or real just a simple post of Popular Mechanics article...about your other foot, I am sure its used to fitting along side of the current one...

It's sooo easy to declare the video as a fake for the following reasons:
1) The videocam is obviously on a tripod or on a solid surface and it's shooting at a window. Why?
2) No one has a vidcam aimed at a window unless they're waiting for something to show. Did they have advance notice of a visitation?
3) If an "alien" is seen by the occupants, no one will have a vidcam ready, they would all be yelling, screaming, confused at what they thought they saw and how many saw it, they'd have to go get the vidcam, connect the battery and activate the vidcam and aim it at the window ending with a jittery video that may not necessarily be in focus. By the time this is all done, the alleged "alien" will have returned to his flying saucer.
4) A few other reasons.

I think the camera was there because the family had been pestered by , what they assumed was kids trying to be funny. So a couple of cameras were set up pointing in the general direction of where the disturbances had been coming from to see if they could catch the perpetrators, inflagrante, as it were.

Either this guy is an absolute wizard at PR, or, something about the video has piqued the interest of the Media enough to make them interested.

Unlike the Alien autopsy video, where they never allowed the film to be examined and even a first year path student would have spotted the *tailor's grip* being totally wrong for holding the scissors, the guy has at least allowed the original print to be investigated by someone with an expert eye and opinion.

It might be and this a huge MIGHT, that someone has noticed some artefact, due to the infra red nature of the film, that leads some to think this might be genuine.

Personally, i think this video, won't amount to that much, in the long run. However, this i would caution people about. If there is ever some *genuine beyond reproof* video ever taken. It won't look like some multi million dollar epic. I think people have wholly too great an expectation of the sort of quality the proof might come in.

Just one question, FireMoon. How can a video of a supposed alien's head bobbing up and down be proof of ET visitation?

It's not like he/she/it's flashing an ID card giving it's DNA structure.

I agree there TheSource...I can't quite see why this video has garnered so much interest. Given how, on the surface, rubbish it looks there has to be something deeper about the whole incident that has not been made public yet... Sheesh at least i hope there is...

This orginal post was just for reading about what popular mechanics had to say since it is a respected magazine they were talking about how this fake video was a fake of a fake Ithink they mean the orginal and all the others that have surfaced thought it was a cool compairson! thats how it started out I love seeing how things get going and everyones view ,I love this forum!!

I couldn't agree more.... This kind of grandstanding does hurt the reputation of many credible ufo studies. It's almost like when a study comes out about cold fission or a cure for cancer but amounts to nothing. The public I believe has been mislead so many times that anything like this and the for mentioned just becomes backstage news. Anything that could be a truly outstanding find (not meaning E.T. phone home) seems to get it's 30 seconds of fame and then fades away to the point skeptics can pick a thousand false claims, and then justifies why this is ridiculous, meaning this so called vid.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it - or at least one that looks more like it. This one looks like a fake compared to the pic in the article too. The head never lines up with the reflection in the window like in the picture in the article. The reflection looks all wrong too - bu that's assuming the picture in the article of the "real" video is actual from the real video.

You should read the whole story about the case, then you will know why he said he was filming the window. Chances are, its fake. I hate the fact that they will not show it, and we have to wait for the documentery. That just sounds like a scam to me. I saw the fake footage, and was quite impressed with it, and i have heard that the real footage does not look half as good, but we will have to wait and see. Im sure that many people, and tv channels will pay them loads of money to view this, so i guess thats why they are not releasing it yet. Because if they did, and people started to find holes, then people might lose interest.

Maybe we did, I never thought the video was real I thought it was cool that even popular mechanics was putting it in an atricle as a fake of a fake .They have not released it as far as I know...
