"Air born: Dad delivers infant son — at 37,000 feet
Arriving two months early, Jadan Brown couldn’t wait for happy landing .

Want a surefire way to get upgraded from coach to business class on a long overseas flight? Jacel Brown has a way, but she wouldn’t recommend it — just go into labor at 37,000 feet.

The Sicklerville, N.J., woman was returning from a vacation in the Philippines with her husband, Daniel, last Wednesday, May 28, when she went into labor two months prematurely. That’s when the Korean Air Lines flight crew moved her to a reclining berth in business class.

It’s also when Dan Brown, who’d been trained as an EMT while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, went into action.

“I wasn’t nervous at all,” the proud father told TODAY’s Meredith Vieira Wednesday from Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, N.J., where the couple’s week-old son, Jadan, is doing just fine in an incubator. “I was actually excited to have this happen. I’m sure my wife wasn’t, but I was actually quite excited. Absolutely.”

Born supremacy -born above all. happy.gif

I'm sure the father was happy, no hospital bill for the birth and was in good hands with a EMT on board.

It's her own fault. I thought you weren't allowed to fly after 7months? Or Am I wrong about that?

They're a citizen of whatever their parents are, and of whatever country's airspace they were in at the time.

A friend of mine was born on an airplane over Germany, and is therefore a German citizen. His parents were American, so he's an American citizen, too.

Really? I've not heard that:I've got dual citizenship (US/UK) and a good percentage of my friends (may 40% or better) do.

No you're right! laugh.gif Probably triggered off the early birth.
I tell ya, that really would of pissed me off if I was on the plane.
It bad enough being stuck next to a screaming kid, let alone a woman giving birth.
With some bloke shouting "I here for you baby.... I'm right here.. honey I'm going to be a daddy"

Blind Atrocity
That gives me another reason not to fly. grin2.gif

Actually, I bet it was something wonderful for the father. He seems so excited about it. grin2.gif I wonder if the baby will grow up to join the Air Force or become an airplane pilot...
